Nice to know that having partners early doesn't crash cutscenes, knew that they didn't have any dialog (they didn't foresee this happening) so I was afraid the game would die trying to load a message that didn't exist. Well except for the scenes with Doopliss but that's a unique situation with Vivian instead of just normal dialog. Also nice that the poison cake _just sends the partner to another dimension_ instead of crashing the game.

I tried entering the cutscene where Mario saves the Yoshi egg from the hot dog vendor with Yoshi as my party member, and the game crashed. I think when a cutscene goes beyond basic dialogue (like when the player can choose between two dialogue options, or when the unintended party member is involved in some sort of action) the game just gives up.

Wow Ms. Mowz was truly loyal to Mario in the end. Even when Doopliss stole his identity, she never abandoned him, nor did she ever complain ("no messages.[English]). Truly, not a single message of hate was delivered by this mousette.

You’ve gotta love how when the game crashes there is this comedic effect with the music and sound effects stopping when Ms. Mowz says “No Messages.[English]” and Mario turns around and is like BRUH

It feels like the Ms. Mowz that's following Mario is just a robot replica, and upon seeing the real Ms. Mowz she just malfunctions. *No messages.[English]*

Why am I just now learning like 20 years after playing this game that Ms. Mowz was a partner

I’ve always had the belief that Mowz was planned to be available just post chapter 3, cause unless you take the sidequest you never see her again, and her skill set is adequate for this point in the game. Her standard attack does piercing damage and the hyper clefts and more importantly buzzy beetles (if you decide to fight some for the Tattle log and to pick up the items now rather than later the same chapter) her attack damage is adequate to koops and maybe Flurrie. Plus it’s always nice to have access to knowing the badge locations if you couldn’t remember their exact spot. Plus her first learned move makes all the opponents in air or ground dizzy which is useful fighting boos with their tricky timing and technically swoopers in the air. And when an enemy has a badge or item it’s nice knowing you can actually steal it and not be scared of a random drop. I'm just discovering this now and its easily going to be my favorite glitch in the game. You can't go wrong with badge stealing early on in the game. Thanks for the upload. Great channel btw.

The glitch you're referring to is called the "Fish Glitch", which was discovered a few years before Hazard Respawn was found. But with this new glitch, you can access Keelhaul Key and Poshley Heights even earlier, and without Ms. Mowz.

Even 7 years later, I’ve still never read a line as touching as “No messages.[English]” in any work of art… Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the Nintendo GameCube is truly unrivaled.

This is amazing, that not only can you get her early, but also go back to chapter 2 status and complete the rest of the game (mostly) normally. I love it :D

I wonder if Ms. Mowz feel about Vivian in phase 2 for a real Doopliss battle in the Creepy Steeple in Twilight Town and get the Crystal Star 4?

To my knowledge, you can only get Ms. Mowz early during chapter 2. There might not be any triggers in chapters 3 or 4 to revert you back to those chapters. I may be wrong though.

There are definitely triggers in Chapter 3, such as the emails you receive after fighting some battle for the first time. Not sure about Chapter 4, though.

To be fair, I only tried this shortly before reaching Doopliss. If you come back to chapter 4 after acquiring Ms. Mowz, you can get an obscure text box if you enter the 4th area from the entry pipe in twilight town. This will softlock the game however if you ride the yoshi into this area. After that there are no chapter reverting triggers triggers, everything is done. It may be possible if had done it before I got the tube curse though.

Yeah, that textbox appears because normally Vivian has dialogue there when you run away from Doopliss. I actually got softlocked too in that same spot while messing around. And if you enter Chapter 4 for the first time while in a post-Chapter 4 state, the Black Chest will be open (so it still wouldn't be possible anyway if you hadn't acquired Tube). This doesn't happen with the chest in Chapter 5, fortunately.

I headcanon now that if ms. mowz was with mario in chapter 4, she would’ve known it’s him by his scent

Ms. Mowz forgot to speak English, so the only things she can say are "No Messages" and "English" to try to tell Mario she forgot.

Well, I knew this was possible as soon as the glitch was discovered. And we need Spin Jump for this so a Pre-Hooktail Pit run cannot be done with Ms. Mowz.

@@Surgemaster2012 I'll tell you this right now, DO NOT TRY TO MASH. You'll have far better luck if you just attempt to time the jump into the water. I went through 10 Super Shrooms and couldn't do it when I tried to Mash. But when I just tried to time it, I got it in like 15 minutes.

What’s funny is that while replaying I’ve unlocked mrs mowz right after chapter 4 and it showed bobberys icon instead of mrs Mowz which is odd because she’s supposed to be In the game at this point

What happens when you get back to the sanctum at Poshley Heights? Is the lock back or do you just enter the sanctum and proceed normally?

This works well in the remake

You know how in the video you go in chapter four and your only party memeber is miss mowz but in the item thing it says goombella that reminds me one time i was playing this game (and i wasnt doing any glitches) i beat chapter four and decided to get miss mowz (legit) and when i got an item from zess T. i used it and in the menu it replaced miss mowz with bobbery (or just the name and picture for giving the item ALSO i did not have bobbery unlocked yet

Yes, that's how it works. The game lists partners in order that way, and Ms. Mowz happens to be the 7th partner, with Bobbery 6th.

is it safe at Chapter 6? will the custcene that you triggered will still be there? like if returning to that place and that door is unlocked ,or will the chapter reset, meaning the cutscene you did will be redo'd?

i have a glitch experiment since the game thinks you're in chapter 6 for the mrs mouse early glitch what happens if you get the 6th star early? Will you have all the other stars in your map? or just the first star and 6th star?

You can't get the sixth Crystal Star without the Ultra Boots, but yes. With cheats it's possible to skip Crystal Stars and still open the Thousand-Year Door with less than seven Crystal Stars.

Are you still able to go back when doing this after Chapter 2? (I did this after the chapter, I haven't started Chapter 3 yet, Its registered to Chapter 6 and the pedestal doesn't work) I can't get the blimp ticket either cause Frankie and Francesca are in Don Piantas office.

Get the Blimp Ticket first and then do it. Otherwise you're most likely stuck.

IIRC there's a cutscene in Chapter 3 that happens right when you get Yoshi, and it is only possible to have Yoshi out, but some other partners also have dialogue for that cutscene.

Perform a full jump into the water on the very first frame you gain control of Mario. Hold the control stick down before the screen loads so you only have to worry about getting the timing right (which is pressing 'A' to jump).

That's the first block you must get by if you're coming in from the east side. That room has the pipes to Boggly Woods and Petal Meadows. The gray block is in the room left of that, and has the pipes to Poshley Heights and Keelhaul Key. If you're coming in from the east like I did, you must perform two HRGs, one for each room. It's recommended to do it from the west side.

Yes, you can just break the block and use Spin Jump on the blue switch to unlock the warp pipe

The glitch is used in Any% English, but not Any% Japanese (where Chapters 4, 5, and 6 are all skipped).

Time traveling

I ended up doing this, got Ms Mowz, reset back chapter 2, finished chapter 2, did the 2 interludes. Went back to TTYD, and it didn't activate. What did I do wrong? ...Lots of trial and error. Went back to the Woods, got an email from the Princess (and off center camera, lol). Went back to TTYD, got the star activation and map update. Auto cutscene with Frankly, found out how to speak with the Don, spoke wit 'im, the runways are by the docks, and the rest is history.

Great to see other players out there. This game never gets old. I play mainly for challenge runs but there are many glitches that just need experimenting on.

Getting Ms. Mowz before getting Vivian in Twilight Town in Paper Mario, 1,000 year door is impossible. After completing Chapter 4 by defeating Doopliss and have Vivian in your party, along with Goombella, Koopa, Madam Flurrie, and Yoshi.
