PM, Speaker clash during fiery Question Time

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has clashed with Speaker Tony Smith during a tense exchange during Question Time on Thursday.
Mr Morrison was forced to withdraw comments he made about Labor leader Anthony Albanese in relation to the Somyurek scandal.
"This leader of the opposition, in the midst of a debacle and corruption scandal that he has overseen, corruption a word that..." Mr Morrison said.
"The prime minister will resume his seat. The prime minister will resume his seat. The manager of opposition business will resume his seat. The prime minister needs to withdraw that imputation," Mr Smith said.
"Mr Speaker, on the point of order ... No."
"Members on my left! Member for Kingston, the member for Kingston will cease interjecting. There’s going to be no debate. The prime minister needs to withdraw that imputation."

What dog act, blaming the recession on the government. He bloody well knows it's the world wide pandemic. It's all labour have left is parliamentary games. It's other hobby is encouraging leftwing loon students and other trash to cause riots to wreck the country. Labour's attitude is if it's not in government, it will destroy the country. The labour party credits are pushing unions for high wage increases which has left heaps of people unemployed like in manufacturing. Single women having kids and living on welfare, wanting refugees and other no economic contributing migrants. And a complete destruction of moral standards in society. Well done labour , the party of scumbags and criminals.

Given we have a partisan speaker in Australia, I very much admire the Speaker’s independent and fair handling of this issue against his own party leader. Just as we saw, the Prime Minister’s fragile ego was shocked and affronted at being called out for his poor behaviour.

This just puts our nation to shame and if the women and men who fought in the two world wars and the wars that subsequently came after those two world wars could see this today I am sure they would be absolutely ashamed as well!! Perhaps it is time that every time a politician lies, is rude or disrespects their role of power and leadership they were fined $20,000 on the spot that comes out of their over abundant salaries and that money is put into a fund to support the micro and small businesses that are run from homes in Australia so those who actually made or can create real jobs for themselves get the financial support they need where the outcome is 'real' jobs!!

@@Chris-vp3fn yeah because a trillion dollars of debt is solid economic management! Liberal doubled labors debt even before COVID. And jobkeeper/jobseeker was a labor/unions idea that the liberals have taken all the credit for. So you have to thank the economy not completely tanking for a LABOR policy. Don't forget, Labor got us through the GFC with a triple A credit rating. We were one of the few first world economies to actually flourish in that period. But sure, keep sucking the Liberal party's right nut bahahaha.

The question "How many unemployed Australians don't have a job because the Prime Minister deliberately excluded them from Job keeper" was not answered. As usual the PM dodged the question and at the same time showed himself up as being out of control and had to be pulled into line by the speaker.
