Awesome video. As a lifelong carpenter one piece of advice for anyone wanting to build something like this...a wet rag wiping off excess glue saves a lot of time with a chisel later.

I'm not sure but I think you could save a fortune in pond armor

Looking like a great job with pond armor.. We appear to be close on build times. The 300g Im building now is my 6th plywood build. I did the 1210g system that ran flawlessly for 4 1/2 years until I downsized it to a 660g system to cut on energy and maintenance and allow me to do the 300g Im doing now. I sub'd and will follow you along. Im trying to get euro bracing done tomorrow.. If not, then Saturday.

Sounds good, I haven’t had much time to work on mine the past month so I’m hoping to get back to it and finished next week. Glass is installed, just need to do the euro bracing 👍

@@Jetblink619 The euro bracing is a critical part of the tank strength..It is crucial to prevent tank bowing at top. I also will have theareas for my glass tops setting, made into top of bracing. How tall is your tank/viewing panel ? I answered it myself. I revisited your earlier video and heard height and rear framing.. Well done.. Mine is only 24" water level. Im doing double 3'4 ply thickness for my rear wall. with many pieces doubled at corners and top/bottom.

Next time, if you want the fiberglass to blend in better, go wider and tear the edges, it makes a smoother transition to the flat plywood. That will take the obvious hard edge line in the finish away.

Took a hiatus with vacation and the holidays, just install the glass and finishing up the top euro bracing this coming week. I will certainly post more videos later next week with the finished product.
