Today's episode continues our journey into Pluto's return to Aquarius, guided by the insightful essays of archetypal psychologist James Hillman. We'll explore Hillman's view of the universe as a living cosmos full of interrelated beings, a perspective that resonates deeply with many. This exploration is an invitation to reflect and possibly reshape our own ideas, reminding us of the power and freedom in considering diverse intellectual viewpoints.

Much to contemplate with Hillman and you’re connecting it to Pluto and Aquarius. It reminded me of something my Aquarius ex-FIL said to me as I was becoming frustrated in my attempts to connect with him, “Human emotion is a primitive appendage to our primordial animal nature”. It was at that moment that I realized that he seriously felt superior to me, not only intellectually but psychologically and that freed me from my attempts to merge into his world. Yet, today with this video I recognize within myself how my Saturn in Aquarius and Libra rising both bring out my revulsion to being ‘stuck’ in this human body and my belief that spiritual ascension or returning to the cosmos from where I came from is so much more desirable to me than engaging with and appreciating what is right in front of me here on Earth. As I said, much to think about…once again!! Thank you for sharing your understanding a views with the world, Adam! Much appreciated!

This subjects of the animalistic nature is very much in my field of contemplation right now. Society tames the animal nature of the Self, it attempts to inhibit our babaries and as well introducing crafting of thoughts. Too much or too little inhibition also kilss us. I LOVE how you framed 36:29 "Pluto in Aquarius will asks for us to examise our viciousness as humans". I felt in my bones!

I can't tell you how profound that passage was for me. As someone always trying to create meaning (especially through my work as a designer) there is something so inherently 'right' about the simple, abundant, 'natural' expression of beauty as a birthright of being an animal on the planet... going to be chewing on this for awhile

I found this very helpful. I want my last decades to be dedicated in the alleviation and prevention of human suffering. If I am blessed this wish, then I can definitely see the risk of causing damage if I don't check my hubris. I can also rest comfortably that I don't always have to have a purpose. I can just be comfortable in my animal skin.

I work psychically with humans and animals. The information I receive from animals is so clear and way less complicated than the heart stories I receive from humans. What you read today speaks to that in a way that I have direct experience of. It seems that the purpose of the animal is to experience life.. without this notion of rising above. There is a calmness and an acceptance and a clarity .. even if they speak of trauma and reveal themselves from a perspective of suffering. It’s a lighter perspective than ours with a willingness to be heard and to continue on their way as they are.. It is so liberating for my mind to work with animals alongside their humans. To learn and see so clearly how complex and complicated we can make the simplest of situations! To the animal it is simply a part of the display of the energy they are here to experience and express ❤

I have been really stirred about the animal kingdom and our interrelatedness as being part of the Oneness. My background was very influenced by the concept of the superiority of humans…yet the farther away I get from traditional religion - the more I believe that animals deserve greater honor than we have bestowed on them.

This reminded me of David Abram's "The Spell of the Sensuous"-which makes a similar statement about our own animality. And the ways that the more than human world has slowly shaped the technology of our language. Abram writes, "“As technological civilization diminishes the biotic diversity of the earth, language itself is diminished [...] as we drive more and more of the land’s wild voices into the oblivion of extinction, our own languages become increasingly impoverished and weightless, progressively emptied of their earthly resonance." I'm seeing the potential shadow of Pluto in Aquarius in the world of emerging technology where every conversation is tinged with toxic accelerationism. We've already moved fast and broken things with technology. So this might be the time to move slow and mend things with it. Thanks again for sharing more Hillman. My mind is buzzing from his stuff!

🙂 this episode can have New Soul by Yael Naim, one of Steve Jobs’ favorite songs. This topic came has been a theme for the week as what I’m reading is laying out a sort of “psyche model” which did discuss the animal soul in our own psyche. Animals are us, the only difference is we are living to learn and part of that is also the restrictions of our physical body. We live, we learn. One area did bring up a little that us as humans are very low on the cosmic hierarchy, but the lessons to learn in life relate to how we can be of service to the entirety of the world, not ourselves. In that, the “animal soul” (to over simplify) is the realm of our bodily senses that are necessary and vital, but “higher” soul functions help us command those instincts. It’s complicated, to say the least. This is a 9 part psyche model collapsing into 7. The only real thing of note relative to new age has been these books do address a noticed problem having to clarify that karma isn’t something humanity can actually fully understand and it isn’t our place to make any passing judgement acting as if we do. You help others, you don’t say a person has bad karma and deserves their hardships. Even says the other person may not have bad karma but may be suffering from YOUR bad karma that YOU have to work out. 😂 again, it’s complicated. For me, I had an extremely bizarre experience again which I can say was not a helicopter; I have no idea what it was. I’m also going to guess Neptune wasn’t visible to the naked eye and especially with me being nearsighted. I will, however, say it brought my attention to the fact I ignored Neptune as it’s been conjuct my descendant so this may be a very entertaining end of the year. This episode also reminded me that there are studies into indigenous cultures that believe synesthesia is actually a natural human psyche state that we forgot how to nurture, these past attitudes about “evolution” are beginning to change. Research is being done to figure out how we can nurture children in early childhood to retain the ability to mix sensory perception and the imaginal language. Cool stuff.

Today upon awakening I sensed that the coming challenge will be to disengage from as you say „the temptation of virtuous ideas that we weaponize“. It's unwise to judge a character on what they do in times of war. Especially if they are learning about it from written history and not experience. Extreme unbalance forces the light to be blinding and more debilitating than darkness. After looping the loop on the swingset walking on the ceiling like David Bowie.

While I generally agree with the takeaway, a lot of the claims about animals are factually false. Deep sea animals are not colorful for no purpose. The lack of need for visual camouflage or display frees up structure and resources for other purposes, and some actually use the light context to their benefit-such as dragonfish projecting red light that thry can see while most other organisms there cannot, allowing them to see prey they are invisible to. Animals do not have direct knowledge or gnosis; all perception are symbolic simulations ran in the mind based on sensory signals interpreted by the brain. Few can differentiate their reflection from an actual organism and visual deception is commonplace among fauna. The issue is not that they are equal or superior to humans cognitively (while it is much more complex than that, they are generally not) but the presumption that a being's ontological status or validity is contingent on the abstract intellect at all. They are, and they have feelings and desires; that in itself is enough to warrant respect.
