Top tip!: If you’re using a hole saw. Put the drill on screw setting and the highest torque setting. It stops the drill wrenching your wrist if/when the hole saw bites.

The torque setting on your combi drill is really helpful if you're putting flatpack furniture together - if you use drill without it it's really easy to punch through with a fixing when it's chipboard or whatever, and no one wants to faff about using a hand screwdriver or allen key 😂

Great video Jaz👍 I’m a Makita fan too, so it’s not just your wife, but the love of power tools we share. One thing you need mate & it’s invaluable for Plumbers/Heating Engineers is the Makita 18V grinder, but with a diamond tip blade. It’ll cut & chamfer Soil Pipe, cut flues etc etc etc etc. Now, I don’t want you to get confused, it’s grinder not ‘Grindr’. Kind regards Dick Puller. P.S. Thanks matey for taking the time👍

I’ve got the Makita 18v multi-tool, I prefer it over the DeWalt because it can use all blades, not just quick connect blades with the ‘C’ shaped fitting. It also has a tool-less connection as well. However, like you said, they aren’t brilliant on the battery life. But super handy when you’re in a spot and no need to faff about with 110v tools on-site.
