A beautiful story with a happy ending. In my community, here in California, many Vietnamese refugees have found a business niche establishing mini “spas”. Men and women are both trained. My technician came with his mother and 9 siblings, across the ocean, in a boat - not a ship. They all made it.

The poem written by Thay has anything to do with current situation. Terrible sorry to say but this song it somehow misguides past and ongoing current dramatic situation. There is something called “Global Organised Crime” which I suspect are at the root in the massive human traffic across all oceans. These extremely powerful criminals first they play with human misery and at the same time they play with the sensitivity of foreign lands so that they can allow them to disembark and settle in those foreign lands. How many millions of ilegal migrations have been on the go in the last 40 or 50 years?. Can Countries have sustentable resources as to receive millions of people?. What about imported deseases?. What about warriors soldiers, criminals amongst those ilegal migrations?. If any of you were going to ask for global governments search for the root of the problem, they wouldn’t give you any response. They will be completely silence😢. However, those organised global criminals plus opportunists count on compassionate people like yourselves giving a psychological helping hand for more boats sailing.
