Plow Point TARP Shelter! | Thetford Forest HISTORY
#bushcraft #bushcraftcamp #thetford
Thetford Forest is England's largest lowland pine forest, covering 19,000 hectares - but it is not an ancient woodland. It owes its origins to the First World War, when Britain had difficulty in meeting the wartime demand for timber. Find out more of the history of Thetford forest in my wild camp video with @NorthernOutdoorsDave
Plow point tarp camping is definitely my new favourite way to camp. I hope you enjoy the setup and video too.

Yorkshire!! Notts accent!! Not close my friend haha... thanks for the kind words but I'm a Lancashire born and bred!! Not this Yorkshire malarkey hahaha 😆 😜.. Take care my friend 💚✌🏻🤙🏻🪓
That lil bit of the history thrown in was good to know. Ive trained with the army in Thetford and never knew that. I've also lost a close friend of mine in 1989 in a helicopter accident who lost his life in Thetford. This is my promise to visit once again to remember him and enjoy some off time at the place of his passing. 😪

Seemed like a nice chilled night was had. I keep meaning to get back down there as it's only 20 mins from me. But I also have a forest less than 10 mins from my front door & it keeps enticing me away from Thetford 😂 I'll get back down there eventually. Thx for sharing👍
