I complete the finish cutting (at 100X) then move on to the first application of enamel. It will take many more applications to get the cells filled, then it must be ground smooth as...well,...glass.

The solder melted and didn't hold the copper sheets together. What solder did you use?

I use medium or hard silver solder, then use the kiln to heat the stack. I actually have switched to 12 gauge copper so now I skip that step. Good luck.
Interesting, what is the clear material you put your piece on when filling in the enamel?

You can make surfice from simple plaster of Paris.
Is this on copper??

Yes. I use 18 gauge copper double thick....soldered
Very dramatic at about 9.30...lol
