There's another video out there somewhere... right before this set David and Plini did an interview together and the interviewer kept referring to both of them as "the band Plini." David just went along with it. Pretty hilarious.

Don't even consider taking this live performance down ok? The audio recording is superb to say the least. I'm really impressed with it all. This live performance of Plini and David Maxim Micic is a lesson in what good music is all about. My son and I (here in Canada) have this concert video at the very top of our all time favourites! Thanks for this!

@@rodrigodalmaso7877 This is in no way representative of what they sound like live. I've seen both life numerous times and they always killed it. This mix is just a mess, also it doesn't help if they (David/Plini) can't here the backingtrack :)

Some of the most euphoric feelings in my life have been at shows/festivals. Seeing your favorite band live is just... there's no way to explain it. It's everything. Saw Plini open for Periphery in Dallas in 2020 and I'll never forget it.

Amazing to see these songs performed live after hearing them in audio only for months.

687 Days and Selenium Forest have got to be the best pieces of music ever recorded. And both their discographies are flawless.

It's so funny. I discovered both David Maxim's and Plini's music on the exact same day, one after the other. And now they are pretty much best friends.

They are supposed to make the opening bands sound less impressive to make the headliners really stand out as perfection. It sucks, but that's the industry. The same person will kill the mix on the headliner.

For what it's worth, it's likely that the sound in person was fine. The mix you're hearing was most likely recorded direct from the board with the settings used to make the show sound good for the audience (IE: what sounds good at the venue normally doesn't sound near as good in a direct recording).

Plini - world's class

For the people complaining about the audio, i think this is a 2 track from the main mix. The main mix is done for that specific PA system in that location with that audience to be optimal. If it was a seperate multitrack then the mix is just not that good... could be worse...

DMM & Plini, not even sure which I like better. Both are legends in the game

I believe it was a single that Plini made back in 2013 (I don't think that's the right year, I'm just ball-parking) called "Moonflower". I wasn't on any ep or lp album that he's made.

For those complaining about the sound, I guarantee it sounded great in person. For some reason, all of the outdoor concert direct recordings from bands always sound dry and unbalanced. Go look at any of the direct recordings from things like Wacken, etc. I'm sure some of you have seen those bands in person and knew that it sounded great, but not so great from a direct recording on youtube.

The sound designers design the sound for concert goers not us folks on KZread who definitely didn't pay for this concert. The way it should be! If we want amazing sound we can go to the concerts or buy their albums ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To me he was a bit sloppy with the double pedal and maybe in some other bits but otherwise he was fine. The mix doesn't help him either. Awful mix overall

He appears to have great skills with polyrhythms and odd time. I think he might not have had the metronome clearly in his ear for a little bit. I think i heard plini say "i cant hear shit" after their first song. Otherwise he seems plenty capable

New sound guy and get aaron on drums again. Other than that Plimic and the gang are amazing together.

Idk who mixed this but, I felt the drums could had a better sound in the mix 😒 , when I saw Pliintervals they had a good drummer with good sound. Maybe it was mixed different before the video was uploaded idk. He does a decent Job though for how hard the music is. Also tuning issues were a thing somdtimes in this video I think, maybe there was lots of wind which would effect tuning and sometimes it could heavily detune a guitar or bass... Still not the most out of tune performance I have heard.
