This is a recording of Art Toolkit Founder Maria Coryell-Martin’s Plein Air Watercolors presentation with Opus Art Supplies from April 27th, 2023! We’re happy Opus made the recording available so we can share it with anyone and everyone!
Maria shared a mini-presentation about her background as an artist, followed by some of her favorite tools for sketching with ink and watercolor. She invited participants to create alongside her gesture, contour, and thumbnail sketches and demonstrated one of her favorite techniques for working on toned paper.

Her most used colors are the double plans. This palette has some experimental hues that she may not use a lot (like Nickel Azo Yellow) but was curious to play with!
