Always enjoy watching your painting process, your use of colors, it’s like watching a modern day Vincent Van Gogh painting. Congratulations

Great piece - thank you for showing the process AND prying out the pallet which is most satisfying 🎈
Yes, the energy is always visible esp in short term pictures. Great-great work! The picture is done btw. It is done the moment when the values of big spots are in harmony to each other. Nice colors. A pleasure to look at.

I'm still impressed, Turner, by the work you can do in such a short time, and with your fingers at that. Although I understand you will be working on it again in the next days. Congratulations to you😊👏👏

Thank you
Impressive how you can pull this together even this much, so quickly with good value structure and the colors are clean. If you can, show us how you mix colors with your hands and not get all gray and brown. Or all mid tones

Ever tried to put a thin layer of color on the canvas before starting? (and let it dry of course, bring it already ready to work) can be burnt umber or a nice muted light grey or creamy tone, impressionists did that to great results.

Yeah, occasionally I do tone my canvas

@@turnervinson I would love to see you paint the canvas in a red or orange acrylic paint (might need a pouring medium to thin the paint for spreading on a large canvas) to tone it. Would be amazing to see those colors popping through instead of the white. Try it sometime, Turner! XO Beautiful large painting you did above despite the canvas not being toned.
I'll be swinging through Hamilton early June. Alas, won't be able to join you for the fun later on. But I hope to see your paintings in the gallery you're in. Could you tell me what the name of it is called??? Thanks for another wonderful session!

Please email me when you’re coming through. You’re welcome to pop in the studio and say hi! I also have a two person show with a reception on June 7th at Cassens Fine Art. Would be cool if it overlaps with you being in town!
