I really enjoy watching you paint. Your style is unique and I notice you hold your paintbrush further from the tip than I do and use smaller brushes than I would but the result is beautiful and making me rethink a few things. I'm definitely guilty of being a photograph slave, but learning to slowly let go of that adherence.

Thankyou for showing your process from beginning to end. I'll try to remember to go for clearer marks, making retouching not necessary unless the paint has to dry first.

Thanks for the video Andrew. I think what you said at 49:27 is very true, that is best to not especulate with eventual layers, and is best to try to finish any area at once, and then, because with watercolors sometimes it will be impossible to get some combination of shapes, edges and values in one go, you can go back here and there to compensate the painting if needed. But in that case, at most, is just having two layers in just some areas, which won't kill the overall freshness of the painting. Thanks again, I'm a fan of your videos.

Lovely! Basic paint names, basic colours (took me a while to find cobalt violet); you're using viridian like a *boss* and you're not scared of the gorgeous cadmiums. I enjoyed this a lot! That green on the boat.. lovely. Viridian was one of my first paints (Covid Christmas 2020, can't paint with oils anymore so wc was a gift). Unfortunately I started "collecting" tubes in 2021. They're mostly all fine pigments (and I'm hanging on to my alizarins PR83), but really I have too many different tubes that I just don't need. I recently threw in the towel and bought cadmiums in wc, and refreshed my cobalts (Jackson's paint sale), and am not ashamed! 😂 I like smalt, too. And cobalt deep from Schminke. 🔵 PB74. I'm def. going through a blue phase. Thank you very much for the painting demo!

Mr. PITT, frst time viewer here, and also watercolor artist. I thought your video was well put together and informative. You appear to paint scenes that have all the elements of good art. Color, dezine,etc, its all there! the kind of pictures that people like to by! I loved your process for the water portion of the painting. Watching you create the effect with the wet brush was excellent. I’m going to do a similar seascape scene utilizing your wetbrush technique. Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. My watercolor process is very similar to yours. Some great tips in here, like how light/dark to make the reflections, the straight-across-drybrush on the water to indicate a disturbance, vertical strokes on the water vs horizontal.

Andrew that little error you made at 28.02 ... I personally would have left as it looked like a bird perched on a branch. I am nowhere near your level and often make little mistakes which sometimes look like something that wasn't originally planned in my painting. for being such a perfectionist in my normal daily life ... I take a different approach when painting and let my brush flow. I am never more relaxed and at ease than when I am painting. I love your work Andrew you inspire me to get better at my craft.
