The tone within this painting is so soft,,,,and comfortable,,,one would think that the many detailing the textures if the blooms and trees would cause the composition to be very busy,,,,but it's soft!!,,,beautiful
Turner I must say I like the depth n this painting
Awesome orchard location. Picture perfect. Love to watch.

I think of Van Gogh with this orchard scene. Beautifully painted. You capture so much in that sweet little painting!

Winter is one of my favorite seasons to paint! Love the snow!!
I have been trying to find a painter that demonstrates Impressionism. I have read about the historical impressionist, but never seeing how they actually organize and apply the brush to the canvas. Thank you Chuck Alkire

Hey man, awesome paintings. Love the style and all your vids. Just a random question, whats the music at the end of the video? Sounds like a good piece to jam to.

true!
I really enjoyed this one because you explained many things while you were painting. Am anxious to know what colors you mixed for your greens in the foreground and for the shadows under the trees. They look perfect! Did you ever do a larger painting of the 5x8 study? Loved the composition of both paintings too. Thank you!

thank you, Linda. I just scrolled back through the video and the foreground shadows colors were mainly a touch a phthalo blue, ultramarine blue and cadmium yellow light. But it was mixed on top of another mixture, so it may have affected it some. And the foreground lights were cadmium yellow light and celestial blue (or cerulean) and white. I actually didn't end up painting a larger version of the 6x8. maybe during next year's bloom!

@@turnervinson Thank you for revealing your colors used on the grasses. I do use those combinations but my ratio must be off so I will work on that. Thanks!
I was wondering how you deal with you palette being in the direct sun. Does it not throw the value off?
Me encanta!!! Lástima que no tiene traductor. Y no me entero de lo que dice😊
I’m just now having time to watch this video 😩 love all the paintings. I’m going to have to figure out how to get brave and knock on doors and ask people if I can paint on their property...is it well received?
