I for one, really appreciate the narrative. It’s not rehearsed and you’re just talking through it. It’s immensely helpful when I watch a video of yours, and then I’m picking up what you’re saying. It’s a nice parallel hearing that while watching you work. I’m thinking about driving out to sign up to take one of your retreats.

The initial surface seemed challenging... Dry and hard to cover without extra paint?

I don't mind it, and as the painting progresses I think that variation in the surface is a nice element

I don't typically paint that way. I personally like to paint things in their environment with their surroundings. Not saying this a great painting, but that's what I was attempting
