Please Prune Your Hoyas!
I'll admit it. I totally used to be one of those people that CRINGED whenever I THOUGHT about bringing pruners to my beloved hoyas. But you know what? I learned that it is not only NOT going to hurt/kill my plant, but my plant will LOVE it! There's lots of other perks to it too. Find out what!

Lol I did! I released some and first they were crazy and swarming but they've settled down now.

You can propagate the vines, just make sure they have a node as more roots come out at those than along the stems in some species. I recommend AGAINST propagating hoya in sphagum because they don't do well in moss long term because when you go to put it in regular medium, it tears the roots up. Different species prop in different things better but a good bet is cococoir.
