Subscribe to our KZread channel for free here: sc.mp/subscribe-youtube
Two Chinese women claimed they were driven out of a restaurant in Osaka, Japan, because of discrimination against Chinese tourists. But according to the restaurant, the women were at fault. The restaurant claimed they stayed at their table even after their 90-minute time limit was over, and threw cs on the ground.

According to a few comments I saw on China's social medias... 1. The girls threw prawn shells on the floor 2. Exceeded the 90 minute limit, even after being advised multiple times 3. Started filming because they got mad the waiters reminded them multiple times their 90-minute buffet has ended That's what made the store manager so mad

I’m in Thailand and we have lots of tourists. Whenever you’re in a mall’s bathroom, it’s a common occurrence to hear Chinese people talking very loudly to each other (with other people in bathroom stalls in between them such as myself). It’s incredible to me how that happens; how it’s even comfortable for them to do that and the lack of courtesy for others in the restroom. Japanese people would never do that, or it would be extremely rare. This speaks for itself.

My husband has family in Thailand so we get a chance to travel around there and almost every time we are around Chinese tourists and also Russian ones and other European ones, they often skip the lines. It’s annoying. I remember being at one rest area on the way to chiang mai and another English speaking lady and I helped each other to get a bathroom stall. lol it was like a frenzy to get one as us two were just trying to be nice and wait in line, we finally had to yell no at someone and to wait! I’m sure they understood English too because our loud abruptness stopped them in their tracks finally and we got a stall. It’s ridiculous when people travel they should be better mannered.

Chinese tourists have always been known to be greedy, speak very loud, and filthy. I was at a buffet in Malaysia. All of a sudden, loud noises were heard. Next, a group of people rushed in to the buffet tables. We found out that they were from China. Goodness ... they half ate and half bagged the food into plastic bags. Whats worst ... food was strewn on the floor. There are thousands of people struggling to put food on thr table, yet those tourists have no respect for the food. We practically were afraid that they will touch or grabbed our food. We quickly moved our plates to the other side, whilst several of us stood guarding our table, hence blocking whatever attempt by those rude, greedy, filthy Chinese tourists.

If there is any Chinese who dare to say I'm lying, please come and talk to me, i lived in China for 12 years and i speak fluent Mandarin. I also know that there are a lot of Chinese travelers that want to make hate videos agaisnt Japan to make more likes and make money on Chinese TikTok (抖音). I have seen a Japanese guy tell a suicidal cross-dresser that broadcast their suicide attempt on twitcast to do it in private so they didn't bother anyone. I have been told on the phone by real estate agents that a certain owner doesn't rent to blacks or to Filipinos or to Chinese and it was not isolated. I have been told I couldn't go to so-and-so place because I was not Japanese. It is widespread and entrenched. If the real estate bubble had not burst, it would be even worse now. A dead gaijin at the hands of police, or any Japanese for that matter, will not garner any real news coverage. The difference is they don't lynch people here but they throw roadblocks from all directions and the TV shows and news programs go right past it without reporting on any issues. In the U.S., people have been working on the problems for decades but in Japan, according to most Japanese, there is no problem: Avoid negative publicity and keep my head in the sand. We are the greatest and we don't have the problems that countries like America have. That comedian on TV said so and I know it's true! 20( +28 / -8 )"

From my experiences, it really seems like some tourists from mainland China (and I’m saying some, NOT all) could do with a bit more prep on how things roll in other countries. Being of Chinese descent but born, raised, and living elsewhere, it’s kind of hit me hard seeing this stuff go down. Like this one time during dinner in the Maldives, I saw a lady from a group of eight just grab an entire big fish dish from the hotel buffet and haul it over to her table. Left the place looking like a mess, bones everywhere. Then the next morning, there was this guy who got super upset because the chef wouldn’t make his eggs with sweet soy sauce, worrying it’d mess up the pan and stink up the place. He made quite the scene, insisting he should get whatever he wants because he’s a paying guest. These moments made me switch up how I do meals when I’m traveling. I’ve started skipping the buffet scene, even if I’ve paid for it, and hit up the à la carte restaurants instead. Just makes for a better vibe all around. It’s kind of eye-opening, especially when you compare it to how things are in Japan, where everyone takes pride in keeping things clean and respecting shared spaces. I’m not trying to throw everyone under the bus here. Just sharing what I’ve seen and how it’s nudged me to think and act a bit differently when I’m out there traveling. It’s all about getting that mutual respect and understanding going, which honestly, makes the whole travel experience way better for everyone. ❤

Yes be it in Japan, Singapore, Thai, Indonesia, Malay, etc. they all tend to behave like they don't respect the places. It maybe more like a cultural difference, but still people give you respect when you do the same.

Im Japanese and im from Osaka. from this vid, the guy says "I cant accept how disgusting they were eating and i cant deal with that" . Osaka people are very vocal and passionate about their businesses. SPECIALLY when it comes to food. Disrespecting a restaurant by means of disrespecting the food (how to eat etc) is a low blow for us Japanese people, specially Osakans.

yep, Japanese service is second to none, even when they hate you, they are trained to show their best side to their customers. Chinese tourists are terrible because a lot of them are not educated and are closer to the Nouveau riche mentality. I also hear Korean tourists are similar in Japan too (of course not all of them, but they have bad rep).

Also considering they were in the restaurant for 90 minutes I’d definitely say that isn’t discrimination. I mean, I’ve never been to Japan, but 90 minutes is quite a long time to be in any restaurant. If they were really choosing to discriminate I doubt they’d tolerate them for an hour and a half before saying something

I was in Japan last year. They were so nice, in all kinds of situations or just ignored us like everyone else when just passing by like on the train or bus. Even though you hear that they don't talk to foreigners, one even came out of the stream of people and volunteered (I didn't even remotely ask) to take my picture instead of my having to do a selfie. Some people we were traveling with have chinese parents and they were just as nice to them as anyone else. Something went terribly wrong to get on the Japanese 'just leave" list.
