First off all what he did is illegal because he is violating the order of the Buddhist monks and second if this person chooses to be a scammer doing something illegal he should be ready to pay for it. As for the woman scamming people by harassing the scammer. Um she doesn't take money from unsuspecting people like he those. You may say hes not hurting anyone but still hes getting money in return for literally nothing. The guy is making money off a lie. It'd be better if he begged cause at least he was honest. And most of the people who give him money are usually highly naive like you who thinks that the scammer should have just been let off the hook or just want him out of their face quickly. A scammer is someone who makes money of deciet and what this woman did was no scam.

Can you hold that scammer in place without yelling long enough for the police to come pick him up? Report all you want but there are lots of people who do that type of scam and its not gonna be easy to pin point him if you don't do what she did. Get the name, ID, and tell him straight up what he was doing is wrong.

Most Buddhists don't go on alms rounds? HUH?....ok maybe not in the West but in other countries they go on roads all the time and get stuff from people. Howver its important to note that people offer to help them...they do not beg as far as I know

This particular monk is a fake but... you know nothing about what you’re saying. Buddhist monks don’t “preach”, and they certainly, absolutely do ask for alms. Don’t have your connotations about Christian clergymen carry over to another religion/culture if you’re not familiar or knowledgeable about it.

buddhist monks often go onto the road. They do ask for alms. But they dont demand anything if you want to give you can

For a fake monk he does have a lot of patience holding back his anger

Chinese Buddhism (漢傳佛教）monks don't ask people for money. Theravada Buddhism (南傳佛教）in Southeast Asia like Thailand , Laos , Cambodia only ask for food before noon only.

Well not exactly. If you solicit money for a legit veterans organization recognized by the law and turn the money over to them it is lawful. Our law says it is unlawful only if you use the uniform to profit or gain monetarily or attempt to profit for yourself. Anyone can wear a uniform on Halloween or a costume party even if I think it is disrespectful to real veterans of the armed forces.
