PLC Programming Tutorial for Beginners using Festo FluidSim

This ladder logic programming tutorial explains how to design pneumatic circuit and PLC ladder logic program for the automated process using Festo FluidSim.The Mission Ladder Logic Programming Pattern is used to program the PLC.
Two cylinders are used to transfer parts from a magazine onto a chute. When push button is pressed, the first cylinder extends, pushing part from the magazine and positions it in preparation for transfer by the second cylinder onto the out-feed chute. Once the part is transferred the first cylinder retracts followed by the second.
At initially both the cylinders are in retract position and S1 and S3 signal are in high and S2 and S4 signal are in low.Here The mission 1 start condition is S1 And S3 and mission done condition is S2.So, at initially there is power flow to Mission1 and it produces the optional path keeping the Mission 1 memory in high until Cylinder A reaches to fully extend position.In next the network when the start memory is high and mission 1 memory is high there is a power flow to the Y1 solenoid and so cylinder A extend.Other missions Mission 2 Missin3 and mission 4 also similar to the operation of mission 1
