​​​​​​​PSX was a digital video recorder with a built in PS2 that was released in 2000 in Japan. Sony originally planned to call the Playstation the PSX, but it was scrapped before launch.

My one ultimate choice was Metal Gear Solid on PS 1 and it is still Worth it even now...

The PS3 will always hold a special place in my heart. Me and my fellow fobbits spending hours on M-Dub-Deuce during the rainy season. Good times.

Gotta take issue with your timeline man. You said the PS ONE came out in 2000 and really started it all. The OG PS1 was released in 1994, thats the console that started it. PS ONE was indeed the 'slim' version of PS1. Also PS ONE did release with dualshock, its the OG PS that had a controller at release with no analog or rumble.

The original playstion came with daulshock in 1998 and the psx that came with daulshock also played graphics when you listened to a cd I remember that

OG PS1 was released in 1995 in North America. I got it when it launched in September. Loved it and still have it 👍

I was a Day 1 adopter of the Vita and I can testify that the 32GB card was just over $100. It was insane! I did later get a few 64GB cards (which were never officially available in North America, so I had to import them), but I didn't buy them until they dropped to around $100. I was insane and willing to spend crazy money on my Vita, but I can completely understand how many people weren't willing... it surely helped kill it.

I disagree strongly with putting PS4 or PS5 above PS3. Sorry but the PS3 was the last generation were Sony was all in on creating many great game series with a variety of games. It was the only generation Sony was on the ropes and had to claw their way back to being competitive so I feel they had to push out new innovative games. The last two generations have felt like Sony is just coasting riding the past success and failures of the direct competition instead of actually trying. Obviously I get everyone puts value on other things but first party is imo the most important aspect of determining a consoles placement on a list and PS3 smoked anything PS4/5 have put out. Despite it's rough edges the games made up for it's faults.

Not to mention how many broken games are released these days. That was rare on ps3(Skyrim ps3 was near unplayable at first) and became more common place on ps4.

PS5 Pro heavy rumors and leak for November so depends if you care about pro version.

I still use PlayStation 4, I see no reason to buy 5 since I don't want to play any exclusive game.

My PS3 was a unit. Between COD Zombies and Skyrim, I definitely got my ROI. Even still, PS2 will always be the GOAT for me.

I hacked my PSP when it was figured out to do so without using a Pandora battery. It was an exploit that was discovered in Lumines that did it for me. The nice side-effect was that I discovered that Lumines was a great game and not just the game I bought to mod my PSP. ;-)

I still have my PS4 Pro plus my current PS5 both connected to a 65" Sony A80K OLED TV. Question for you, did you not play Tearaway on the PS Vita, it too was IMO was an awesome game.

I wish they would release UnCharted Golden Abbyss to play on the ps5. Only uncharted I havent go to play and want to.

I bought a PS4 Pro back in November 2019. This was my first Playstation that I owned since the PS2 in the early 2000s. It was also my first time jumping back into gaming since the Xbox360 that I used to own. Hardly ever played it. I think I probably had less than 100 total hours of game time. It's stored away collecting dust somewhere. Then I bought a PS5 in July 2022 that I overpaid for. I've also Hardly played it aswell. I just recently have been playing it more and more now that I'm playing Helldivers 2 and GTA Online. I don't know if it's my age, but I just can't get into any of the games that are out there now. I get bored of them very quickly and stop playing after 30 minutes. Maybe gaming just isn't for me anymore.

Great video thanks for the research on PlayStation that you do for your community. My favorite PlayStation game system is ps2. It brought my 3 favorite things together lego , starwars , and video games. Along with the most bigest video game catalog. To this day I have over 2.00 games. For it. Now ps4 has many download games. But not physical ones. I hope to get a ps5 pro. .

Loved PlayStation since the original. Have watched it grow since, with hits and misses. I'm also going to agree with your number one pick. It is, by far, the most advanced.

My playstation journey began with ps3. I never got the chance as a kid to play the ps1 and ps2 because my older brother had both but he NEVER let me play but only watch😂... this led me to buy the og xbox when i got my first job...... After years of being an xbox head i chose to give the ps3 a chance and never looked back😍😍

When pro comes out I’m selling my regular one for it.

I'm mocked for it, but I liked Final Fantasy 15. It was my introduction to Final Fantasy. I'd love to see Noctis and Ignis in another game. Yeah, yeah... Noctis was in the Final Fantasy game just before 15 (was it Type 0? NT? I own it but only playec it for a few minutes).

Do you ever think they’ll release another Socom or do a remaster? Socom 2 was the best and my introduction into online gaming.

Never had a need for PS5 yet. Still ❤️ my 4 yet #1 for me is PS3 😮

Gaming is in my blood, I practically grew up in the arcades from the 70s and onwards, I fave been there for every major gaming launch and of course every console! So I hate to see this current generation take liberties with the history of gaming! I'll be watching

@ratchet2007 yes because it’s modded I’m playing PS1/PSP/PSVita with the option of other ports and can still Remote play my PS4 Games online PVP without having a problem. And since I’m at work most of my day to have that amount of power on something how many years old ? Sounds like a good investment to me that’s why I have 4 PS Vitas 🏆‼️

My list is very different but, I have to clarify, I don’t care about graphics over gameplay, and I don’t really like online features. PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, PS Vita, never had a PSP so I can’t rank it. I guess you could argue it’s nostalgia, I just don’t like proprietary nonsense, cookie cutter game design, or specifically the Internet getting in the way of me enjoying my games.

#1 PlayStation 1, #2 PlayStation 2, #3 PSP, #4 PlayStation 3, #5 PlayStation 4, #6 PlayStation Vita and #7 PlayStation 5.

It's not hard at all going back to ps1 or even nes. Great gameplay and story beat good graphics and ray tracing. There are so many gems on ps1.

PS1 is the best console, Is has the most notable games that gives me the most nostalgia. IP that you can still play today and be wowed.

At around 8min 34 secs into your video you stated the PS1 came out September 2000, totally incorrect! it was December 1994! If your going to put up a list like this you need to at least know how to use Google or even better to have been a coherent human being when these consoles came out And you still said the PS2 came out in October of 2000!

PSone came out in 2000. PlayStation came out in 1994/5 depending where you lived - about a year after Jimmy was born! So I guess he’s talking about consoles he actually played as it’s his own personal ranking.

You may be able to play the games from PS4 on the PS5 but you can't play the PS5 games on the PS4 and even though you can still play those games on PS4 and they look good you don't get all the benefits that you get with the PlayStation 5 with a haptic feedback the immersive gameplay with the graphics boost the power this thing houses it's just a total jump up bro if I was going to rank it I'd rank it number two as well but that's for nostalgia reasons because number one would be PlayStation 1 which hooked me which is what sank me as their customer so my fondness of that would be the one so I get the number two but I just wouldn't think it would be because of you can play the same games on PS4 that floored me there's still a world of difference

Ps2 the best console, system, and build wise untouchable and paved the way for where we are now regarding graphics. Ps4 in my eyes was just a money pit and still is, the console has had so many issues with overheating and a fan that sounds like a jet engine, sadly all these new consoles thats ps4 upwards are not built to last not like the ps2.

Im selling my ps4 and will never buy another ps! PC only and forever forward!

PS 1994, PS with a dual shock controller 1997. PS ONE (essentially PS slim) 2000, the ps2 was the newest console released in 2000. Also the psp is not the psp version of the Vita. The vita is essentially the psp2.. for some months now you've been rehashing old content n now when you have something "new" you cant even get you dates or facts correct. (Edited to add the ps2 release for context on your inaccuracy)

This list is nuts. The PS4 had one of the worst list of games. It was mostly remasters and remakes. The PS3 games and PS2 were vastly superior.

Bone deck Ps vita Psp Ps5 Ps1 Ps4 Ps2 Ps3 would be number 1 That be my list I can understand why you have your list that way but the bad thing bout psp was there own memories card that mess up everything, if psp use the normal memory card from camera’s it would be my top 3. But the original ps3 first lunch, it’s able to play 1 to 3 also you can save your check points or anywhere you left your self. Also your able to use different memory cards if you have or able to take advantage.
