i like to play my playstaion portal on my lunch break at work we have a good wifi connection but it seems after the new up it does not want to connect to my ps5. ive have done a factory reset and that worked but tried it again on lunch today and it would not connect

Mine has been fine even after the update. I haven't had any issues. It's been amazing

They also fixed the microphone/headphones so now I can play online in a party. Huge improvement.

No issues at all on my end. Still working to perfection Love the portal. sorry to hear people having issues hope playstation fixes the issue

Mine is now unplayable. It is so laggy. I’m gonna have to try the factory reset. Even tho I hate doing that. So I did the factory reset and it fixed my connection issues. Just for anyone who has the same issues.

I can't connect in the park on 5g, what's the issue? Playstation setup and in rest, wifi even has a booster mesh on 500mb lime, get max 5g on s23, portal connects to phone full signal but never managed to connect.

Mine won't move past the grey screen and I cant even access the wifi option after holding the power button down. I tried before this to do a factory reset and then tried to connect to a different network, my phone's hotspot. Nothing had worked, does anyone have any ideas on what else may get it to work. I have no connection notification or errors on my PS5, after logging in and checking.

Mine wont connect most times now and when it doea i just get kicked off

I had connection issues after the update. After I update, restart and re-login both my portals (different profiles) and restart PS5. They work fine right now. Hope this helps.

To be honest i had no issues at all. I did reset my ps portal before the update and it works flawless👏👏👏 no issues to report!

This is crazy because I bought one yesterday and set it up and I used it today and was not getting great quality at all nor was it connecting and also disconnecting

Mine has gotten choppy. This is the first time ive ever gotten thr yellow exclamation mark on my screen. My legion Go with PSplay runs so much better. The PS portal is just a collection piece now.

My PS Portal isn't working the same since the 3.0 Update. It worked perfectly before this Update. Now it's Pixilated and won't connect. I'm a Cable Tech I did my own install and I didn't have issues with my PS portal up until now. It's there a fix for this issue?

Mine is the same way. I’m so aggravated.

My ps portal froze right after the update and could not let me log in, so I decided to reset it. When I reset it (not restarted), it showed that screen from your video at 1:34, where there were no options to go back to the prior setup options. I had to turn it off and on several times but it wasn't until I connected it to the PS5 (I don't know why) that it actually let me progress through the rest of the setup and I haven't has a problem since. It took me a couple of hours to troubleshoot it.

Glad you got it working again! It let you progress once you connected it to your ps5, what do you mean? Do you mean wirelessly connected or do you mean you plugged it in to charge from the ps5? Would be good to know as it may help others who have problems! Thanks

Maybe your battery was too low? I don’t know if connecting to PS5 usb port does anything besides charging the portal? Glad it worked for you anyway.

It performs way worse. I got the stream to freeze every few minutes (without any low signal warning) and I have to reconnect since the signal is as syrong... never happened to me before the update

No issues before the update or after the update. Great product and I use it most days.

You forked out a lot of money for an Android phone with a PS5 controller cut in two and glued on the sides just to stream PS5 games when there's literally an app for that and a controller adapter you can put on the phone 😂😂😂 Sucker.

I just got my portal today and it updated and I'm getting really bad drop in image quality. Not impressed so far. I'm in the room with the router and getting over 300mbps

I have wifi 6 and its way more laggy after this update

Only problem I have is I can’t turn in my system only using the portal, it will just do the circle thing over and over which sucks. I have to turn in the ps5 unlock my account and than turn in my portal sheesh smh

My Portal is performing much better after the update! Visuals seem to stay crispy more then before. Feels like they upped the bitrate since it's also smoother in motion. I hope they just revert the changes, cuz i think ppl having issues are setup related... 🤷

I feel like it was working before the update now it's like it's stutters every 12 seconds for 2 seconds. Was working perfectly before now don't know what to do about it

I spend more time trying to fix things than I do on actually playing a game.

So far it won’t connect to my PS network. Even scanning the code box on screen doesn’t help. I’ll have another go tomorrow and pray for success.

I thought it bricked my portal..it connected but dint show the ps 5 menu. I ended up restarting everything including my console and got it working again

Put it in airplane mode then after a few sessions turn it back off and it will start working

The PS Portal Looks good. Also I'm sure there's always a few people that have a problem with every product. Even when it's the best and Most popular product. Nothings perfect.

Mine has been acting so weird. After the update the initial screen went blank and there was no option to do anything, I had to connect it to my PS5 in order to log in into my account again. Now I’m playing and it’s been laggy and my character only moves sideways. This is a joke

I feel for you.Most of the high end technology that comes out is not ready to be released to the public.Smart glasses, video gaming and the accessories that go with it, handhelds,ect.Everything I buy gets returned.

After the update the Portal has connection issues , it is laggy , the boot time increased and even tho i have factory reset it several times.. still having issues. I have also encountered a QR code zommed in on the screen and also the grey screen where nothing is displayed. Well.. guess it will sit gathering dust until a fix is provided. GG Sony…

Mine is fine now. I didn't know my PS5 shut off cause the electricity went out.

I haven't played mine so I haven't updated and I probably going leave it alone until I here Sony has addressed it

Ya my update to the new update and bring my with me to my hotel and not to connect to the hotel Wi-Fi.

Performing much, much worse. I factory reset, i reset my wifi, my ps5 is wired and i have fiber internet. I can't play for more than 3 min without it crashing, and that's with low image quality.

Hi guys, I just checked up on what this guy is talking about when he says the PlayStation Portal is Bricked & it actually means when somebody’s PSN Account is PERMANENTLY BANNED guys!

Sony and PlayStation intentionally put out items that are not made very well.My PS5 works sometimes.My VR2 never works properly.The PlayStation Portal worked for a week,now it is collecting dust.I have gone back to Nintendo and my Switch’s.Their customer service is impeccable.PlayStation’s customer service is the worst in the world.Sony doesn’t care if their stuff works or not.I have come to despise that company.

I have VR2, PS5, and Portal and never have had an issue like you describe. I agree that PlayStation Customer Support isn’t fabulous to get in contact with. What issue do you contact them with and when? How did you contact them? Sony and PlayStation can be a little confusing on contact forms and numbers.

I’m still gonna go buy me one PlayStation portal whatever the name is called. It looks cool, but I don’t understand why they did not make it in 4K the little screen because everybody bought the PlayStation five because the fascination you can play it in Beautiful graphics of Ray tracing and performance mode, I love my PlayStation five playing on my OLED Sony, big screen TV I love it. I wish they could’ve made the PlayStation portable gaming system the new one and OLED 4K everybody knows that would’ve been a lot better and I don’t know why you can’t bring back the PlayStation Vita because I still have my PlayStation Vita and I love it. I wish they could’ve made the PlayStation portable the new one with video game card slots like the Vida so you could play your Vida games on the PlayStation portal system and be able to Buy new PlayStation five games for the PlayStation portal like the PlayStation Vida game cartridges everybody I know you’ll agree with me because that would’ve been a lot better if you could play your PlayStation Vida games on the PlayStation portal new PlayStation five Vita games on the portal gaming system
