I barely use my PS5 on the TV now, I would say that I'm playing the portal 90% of the time. It's completely changed how I play and the amount

@@arnaldofraire925I heard if you disconnect the hdmi from your ps5 is works better. Try that and let me know because the ps5 now doesn’t have to send over image data. Some youtuber said it not sure if it works.

The massive thing that helped me out was changing the wifi settings on the ps5 so that it only used the 5 gig band rather than the 2.4 gig. It defaults to automatic@@arnaldofraire925

@@rietzhu To get the best experience you definitely have to do some tweaking. But when it runs the way it supposed to 🤩
I think it’s refreshing how you call out some of the tech reviewers out there and how hard they are while reviewing this product. They don’t have children they don’t have lives and the ones that do have given the portal some decent reviews. I feel like this sheds light on the intent of audience, these tech reviewers are aiming for. Gullible young crowds that have high standards for gaming versus your legacy gamers that already have lives, jobs, families, and how products like these are a win for these casual players. I tried to make sense and sound smart. I hope I did 😂.

Thanks. Appreciate it! Everyone has their own experience to draw from but it’s helpful to ask who the product is really intended for when reviewing. Their advice may be appropriate for the audience on their own channel, but ultimately I don’t think the Portal is really aimed at hardcore gamers with fewer responsibilities.

I agree. If you know what it is for and you are the target audience, there is no better value for money. But a lot of these others guys are expecting things that the portal is not designed to do, nor is even remote in the same price category
At first I ran into the same issues as most. However, after some router configuration, I absolutely love my portal. I have put SO MANY hours into it. I knew what I was buying going in, and I couldn’t be happier with the end result.

@@matthatrden1323 I added both my portal and my ps5 to my router’s exclusion and allow lists for 2.4 and 5ghz respectively. I didn’t want them to have any chance of connecting to the 2.4 band, and since setting that, as well as setting my ps5 manually to connect to 5ghz, I’ve had next to no connection issues 👍🏻

I love my ps portal too. With my wifi repeater I can play it wherever in my house.
Also loving the shoutout to parent gamers - good call! 🙂
I really love your taste and style always so chic. My faves would be the kislux leather backpack and the Swarovski pave diamond ring so gorg. Thank you for your recommendations.
Thanks for a follow up review of the Portal along with review of the Pulse and Elite accessories. So far with better internet connection my Portal is working fine. Just wishing for Bluetooth update with my AirPods instead I’ll just plug in my regular headphones 🎧

your review it's something else. SO complete. Thanks for this 3 in 1 review. In my point of view, I would say that both of new headphones from sony are inseparable from the portal. Sony just launched on Brazil on April. Mine will be delivered on July 23rd. My main goal it's to be able to play on my GF house when i'm there, and to be with my family at the tv room and play when i want.

Thanks, mate. Hope you enjoy it!
Great review particularly around the benefits for the time-poor and, as an audio engineer, the perspective on the headphones. I have the Pulse Elites and value the clarity and definition. I respect Sony's decision to opt into their proprietary 'Link' connection from both a lower latency AND marketing/sales perspective (I do wish they thought about switching between devices a bit more). Regarding the light, maybe some tape? I have my PS5 in my bedroom with no TV just my PSVR2, Portal and it suits me wonderfully.

The In Zone ear buds also work
I wear hearing aids, so I usually bluetooth my tech directly to these. I don't think any hearing aid manufacturers are going to adopt Link any time soon. So I'd need to take them out, put on Link headphones, then miss out on all the differential audio frequency from my hearing aids and have a poor quality audio experience through headphones that isn't tailored to my mixed frequency hearing loss. Please Sony - enable Bluetooth.

Such a great point. Thanks for sharing. My dad is hard of hearing and has been using his hearing aids to connect to the phone and TV for years now. If they tried to enforce LINK on something like a TV with no BlueTooth option, there's no way it would be a viable option for him.

@@IntentionalTech That said, I actually bought one yesterday. My 13 year old son and I have been putting it through its paces. I realised I could put a 3.5mm cable into my old Compilot, then use this to stream to my hearing aids. I haven't tried a usb-c bluetooth dongle yet (I think you mentioned some people had luck with this in your video). Still it would be much simpler to Bluetooth directly. Here's hoping it's something that may be enabled in a firmware update at some stage, if the hardware is actually there on the SOC?! Thank you for your review, this very much informed my purchase - thanks! 🙂
My pulse explores connected within minutes so maybe it’s something else going on with taking so long to connect to yours.

I think it is unfortunately. This is a new format I’m testing which is a compilation of older videos to try and create more of a long form podcast style video. However, I no longer have the original files and I think KZread’s download feature only provides an SD version.

@nomanisanisland the portal would have to be way bigger and heavier than it is to be able to do that. It'd be heavier than the legion go and that thing is already pretty big and heavy as it is.
USB dongle?
I'm not saying link isn't better than bluetooth, but sony not including bluetooth on the portal is completely unacceptable. It's an obvious money grab to force you into their headphones and anti consumer. While link may be better, some of us like the convenience of using the headphones we already have from the ecosystems we are already in. I ended up picking a bluetooth adapter to plug into the headphone jack. Also, it's absolutely ridiculous that they are trying to push this and not integrate it into the ps5 itself. That dongle is just ghetto.
