I would argue Dallas shot themselves more in the foot than got figured out. They played zone and ran the ball, the opposite of the things that made them successful all season. Full credit to Green Bay, Jordan Love played amazing, the play calling was great. I don’t want to take anything away from that, but I do personally think Dak’s issues with pressure, not pressuring Jordan Love and giving him time to thrown while the secondary played farther off the receivers were monumental mistakes. In my very unprofessional opinion, Dallas still has a versatile offense, but McCarthey panics when they get behind, and Dak does as well. I’d argue the defensive scheme is more the one dimensional aspect, because Quinn’s system is to force the pass and rush them when Dallas takes a lead, and they’ve had terrible weaknesses against the run or when an offense has room to breathe. Their offense was still able to put up 32 points even with some subpar performances, and again I’m not saying McCarthey and Dak don’t have major issues or that Green Bay didn’t embarrass them and have the better offense, just that Dallas has the pieces for versatility-but I could totally be wrong.

Been a fan since 1976 and I’ve seen both excellence and disappointment. Jerry Jones has established himself as the root cause of these problems. Whether it is his inactivity with free agency, meddling in player/coach relationships or undermining the coach in the media, it all lays at his feet. Stephen isn’t any better. I believe the opportunity to win a Super Bowl in the next 2 decades is 0% unless Jerry and Stephen change their roles.

I think Jones was sensible from 1989 to 1994 then his ego completely took over. Jones wanted more credit for the super bowl victories so he’s avoided hiring a GM. Oh and anyone wishfully thinking the Jones family will sell the franchise when Jerry passes dream on. His son is keeping the team then there’s Jerry’s grandkids who are huge Cowboys fans with a love of football. The team will be with the Jones family for another 50 years at least. As for you saying Stephen is no better, I think the jury is still out on that. Jerry has openly said he’s vetoed Stephen’s ideas quite often so it’s difficult to tell how good of an owner he’ll be.

Jerry craved attention so much that when cameras were first introduced to the draft day war room (there was no audio), he asked Jimmy to talk to him before making a pick so he could nod like he was approving the pick. LOL. At this point, I don’t think 3 12-5 seasons with no playoff success matters when you have 2 9-8 teams advancing in the playoffs against higher seeded teams.

Why would you fire the head coach?? Ask the NFC South teams would they be happy to have a coach who consistently wins 12 games a year. There are a lot of teams out there, more than 2/3 of the league who can't say that. I understand making some adjustments but to fire the HC, that would be stupid.

This is why it’s so hard to win in the NFL. You got to change everything even though you are the number 2 team in the league. At this point they should allow anyone with a winning record play in the playoffs because the regular season results don mean a lot.

The Cowboys have a host of problems. The biggest problem which you saw from game one of the season, they had no run game. They need one to take some of the best pressure off of Dak and make them more than one dimensional. They also need a couple more good receivers. They need bigger offensive linemen and another pass rushers. The secondary is too small and was being run over by bigger backs and receivers. They need more discipline instilled in both the offensive and defensive linemen. They were committing too many penalties. Last but not least, they need a new head coach who need to hire his own coordinators.

Dallas is undersized. They need some 350Lb Defensive tackles, a 250Lb Linebacker and 225lb running back. If you cant run the ball and cant stop the run its gonna make for a long day in the playoffs. They had a 200Lb guy playing linebacker. Not saying VE was a game changer but he leads the team in tackles. Even that dude is undersized. They need to go find the next bobby wagner if theyre gonna keep parsons playing defensive end. I would seriously look at starting Trey Lance or at least make him the back up next season. Dak gets in his own way come playoffs. They need a guy that plays better in the playoffs. I dont know that firing Mike is the answer but they definitley need to cut Dan loose and restructure that defense. If Dallas can fix that defense they will go to the NFC championship. I knew they were gonna lose this game or the divisional round. Their defense sucks. Thats why they only beat sorry teams
