Playmobil family movie about a boy that tells his adventures on a steamboat in the Mississippi River. Some gamblers from the wild west will loot the ship and the journey will become more dangerous. Will they reach their destination safe and sound?
This steamboat was a prototype designed by Playmobil that was never sold since the molds would have been very expensive, according to Hans Beck in an interview in which he shows the ship kept in a showcase.

Thank you so much! We use Dragonframe for stop-motion animation and After Effects for the VFX.

I made it based in a real prototype.
I really think that Playmobil put more effort in the old sets to make it possible to recreate worlds. Their old sets for knight/medieval village and the western theme was really grand. There was so much: castles, baker, tavern, town hall, blacksmith, pottery shop, knights, royal family, a hunting party, and even a caslte ghost. Western was even better: saloon, sherrif's office, bank, drug store, stagecoach, indian tipi village, gold diggers, Union and Confederate soldiers, Mexicans and even a station and some train sets. Too bad other topics took importance because even good efforts like Ghostbusters and Scooby-Doo fade agains the Lego franchises. I would like that Playmobil would become the diorama producer of big historical settings (and city), it would become a nice niche for an older public, but for that they would have to invest in more sets. Just look at this nice film...can't make that with the limited sets of Rome and Egypt.
