Agree with every single point. KI has been obsessed with fabricating ways to increase playtime in an inorganic harmful manner and the results of that are more people quitting, less people participating in PvP and less people buying memberships because they found other games that respect their time more.

This is why low level questing is so much fun. You can pick up and use gear whilke questing, the bazaar has important gear, the spells you get are actually helpful and useful, only have to grind a dungeon every 30-40 levels for gear, the bosses aren't hard. High level wiz is just a grind. Have to get new gear each 10 levels, the spells you get for most schools can only really be applied in pvp, every boss cheats and they make it almost impossible to solo some bosses, and have to grind for jewels and create new meta pets with which the way KI is changing stats every new update your pet will be outdated within 10-12 months. Darkmoor for me will always be the peak of the game.

Fr! After darkmoor, the game went downhill. I always wanted to make a balance account but my god the grind after level 100 doesn’t feel awarding at all. Spells are all pvp, like what? There’s a very small part of the community that does pvp. Everything about this game just fell off compared to 5-6 years ago.

pets in this game are just advanced slot machines they might as well rename the pet pavilion to the pet casino

Me personally I don't find pet making that stressful/hard, I just follow ferrics guide and yk do it the free way by waiting for energy/timers, it takes a while but I do feel like I make genuine progress

Most real and most true take in the wiz101 community With how novus and wallaru gear farming has been, it does feel like a long boring grind It also feels like a long boring grind to max teir spell, for just like 60 more flat dmg and in some cases even just a small little extra 30 dmg Like the overall grind for everything to get better in this is just sooo boring and soo long/tedious All that made me take a yr long break after playing wiz101 pretty much everyday for 2.5 yrs. I've been a on/off player since 2010

i never actually had this full time job feeling until today when I signed up for a raid several days ago and I didn't really feel like doing the raid today but I did it anyways because I signed up for it and it just felt like a job and i didn't want to be there

This game hit its peak at legendary. Ever since then it’s gone down and down with every update. Surprised anyone still takes this shit seriously when we all know everyone who works there doesn’t lol.

I've really been thinking about returning to the game, I haven't played ever since lemurias release and I have gotten every school to 150. I've been asking friends that still play and watching vids about the current state of wiz just kinda makes me hesitant.. I don't want to have to be forced into doing raids just to have the meta gear. Raids are like you said very intricate and you have to do it perfectly almost to get the gear and on top of that find the exact team of 12 to be able to run it with you. It just seems way too hard. Also, I'm a completionist and I would like it if i had maxed out spellements on every wizard without having to spend HOURS just to get a few. I agree, the drop rates should be better, but they'd rather us pay for a pack whenever we get impatient and don't wanna do the same thing over and over and over for days on end. It just seems very oppressive, Most people already spend $10 a month on the game just to play it, but also they want us to buy a pack to save time? They really need better ways to get things for people who arent trying to spend a fortune. I'm not saying it should be easy, but there's just no way that it should be THIS hard and tedious. I really hope that they can fix this; if not, I'm not sure I'll be coming back to wiz.. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

The nightmare dungeon was the last straw for me. I just bought the wastelander's pack for the robe and for the rest kept my aeon gear cause what's the point of wasting my time to do this complicated dungeon (15 fucking times) when It's just gonna be obsolete when the next world comes out.

The game just doesn't respect your time. The pity system is also kind of misleading. For schools like storm, there is no pity. Montgomery doesn't drop the storm hp jewels, he requires you to craft them. So, it's a 10-run entry fee instead of a pity.

I guess my genuine question is why do you think making these videos matter when the devs (ratbeard) literally blocked you

The creator roundtable was the one chance they had to make changes the community want but they undermined it, as far as I know when they did that they killed the game off and any chance of it’s improvement

Yesterday, i put in over 10 hours just to complete the khrysalis part 1 AND reagent farming for crafting It def feels like a job

The rent a meta build idea is a great idea to help newer players to figure out if they wanna really get into pvp and if it’s worth the grind

I was gonna come back and buy membership and crowns but honestly I want my games to be a fun escape not a grind, I’ll stick to Pirate101

Transmuting gear would be cool imagine it goes all the way to arc 1 it would add so many possibilities.

the way gear is released now makes it less viable for grinding once its meta has passed. a lot of people are still running malistaire gear cause all the newer sets were made as end game grinds that dont carry over well to being a stepping stone set that will be replaced later on, there isnt really a next big gearset after darkmoor its just push through to the newest set which gets harder and harder to do as the game expands. they should make merciless gear drop often enough to be a reasonable gearset to get and use till the end of the arc, there should be a gearset between meta and a set released 10 years ago.

Hey, Liam how are you bro? I'm a bit late as the video was posted 2 days ago, but I would like to say that I agree with you, Kingsisle SADLY killed a once wonderful game that we all remember. Wizard101 is starting to feel like a boring day job. Your video is ONE of the REASONS why so many content creators have decided to quit because they feel BURNED by all the crap KI throws at their players. The worst part is that WE (the Community, the player base) are being IGNORED, we are like LAS VEGAS SLOT MONEY MACHINES!!!! Now to tell you something interesting from the other side: Wizard101 EU is even MUCH MUCH WORSE, they are currently waiting for Novus to come, some of the translations were discontinued, and they get absolutely nothing from KI for a year now. I'm glad that you are still here Liam, but if you ever decided to quit we will understand, Thank you for the AWESOME Content as always!!! HUGS!!!!

I work 50 hours a week, 10 hours a day, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. I only get to go out and have fun on the weekends. I have no choice but to pay up to stay up with everyone else.

I have a bunch of good pets that I got many years ago, all of them took no more than 10 hatches. The pet thing is actually really simple and easy, you don't need elixirs or anything, the issue is that you want the pet for exactly today, not for a week in advnace. And for something so valuable, that shouldn't and doesn't work. Try playing WoW, you farm a piece of gear for months, then it drops, and someone else from the raid gets it.

Kids these days don't know what grinding in an MMORPG is. This is all perfectly acceptable.

I think energy related activities and some weekly events act as barriers to questing. They could make things like gardening and anything else that needs to be done as a chore take less time, then I would have time to do questing and play pirate101. If pirate101 had as much chores that had to be done on multiple characters each day before you can quest, then it would be impossible to play both games ever. Inventory management is another big problem in wizard101.

The only event in my opinion taking a lot of time is best moon. Gardening takes me 5 minutes per day( 10 when I have to replant) and all the events around 10-15 minutes per day as well to get max reward, except the beastmoon(which a game lasts around 30-35 mins and you need like 15-20 to finish the event) and deckathalon.

Canceled my membership today. I realized that it is more time and money than it is worth. I do not even enjoy playing anymore. I played since 2009

The game is a massive grind INTENTIONALLY there is a super obvious reason why it is as grindy as it is, the whales give them massive amounts of money, this money can then be shown to Gamigo investors to say hey look how successful we are. To which they say, nice, good job, now make 2 times that by next quarterly report and keep growing FOREVER. It's not about making money, its not about making good money, its about making ALL THE MONEY and in EVER INCREASING AMOUNTS BY ANY MEANS. The game is as grindy as it is because they know whales will just keep taking it up the ass indefinitely and thats all they care about, and in the end when even the whales run out of fucks to give? Well then the game was clearly a failure on its last legs, onto the next thing to leach off of, Gamigo is a fucking parasite.

I spent $180 for stompy for my only max fire wizard. i got 5 chompy perms and 6 trompy perms. ZERO stompy perms just dozens of 7 days. needless to say i quit the game for good that day. Convinced the game has an algorithm that detected i only have a max level fire and since i needed stompy it didn't give it to me. It is insane that the best gear can only be obtained through GAMBLING where there isnt even a surefire chance after a certain amount is spent

You paid $180 for 5% dmg You paid $36 for 1% dmg, each Dude pve is easy and u don't *need* p2w gear, what's 5% extra dmg gonna do for you??? There is gear that costs money that is a bit better, but it isn't worth it when pve is already easy as is

They just want you to spend money on the game. You spend more money buying packs and elixers than you do buying for member. At this point just make the entire game free since they want to prioritize the crown shop so much.

long time player....i have to disagree on many of your points...first, i want to say thank you for all your videos, i find them all informative and extremely helpful. BUT, i have great, even perfect pets for pve and raids..i have 1st, 2nd and 3rd age on most of my 10 max wiz, 3 accounts...i have never spent any crowns or any cash on acquiring said pets....i do agree raids need to more accessible, our problem is getting 12 adults (i am in an adult only guild) that all have the same 3 hours available....we were thinking of the possibility of being able to combine guilds for raids to get the 12 necessary....i love when i have a badge, piece of gear (like the ultimate gloves from the deckathalon that took me 5 years to acquire) that take more than the average player is willing to commit. i do agree that gear we purchased like jade should be upgraded to present max level. my jade gear is level 90. i think having only one wiz required to get the max runs for nightmare is a great idea. I hate when they nerf things after i have spent hours getting something and now everyone can get it. Sorry, but those willing to put the time in should get the reward.

If kingsisle made a pet race battle pas track... Thing. I would bet that would both revive the races AND give free to plays a way to craft and earn non free to play items (double pet xp, maybe one of those retriever reagents and thing like that). I never even got a chance to play a race back in the old days because pet costs were so high and kingsisle for some reason thought people would pay crowns to race for no rewards

If I wanna play PvP, I’ll play CSGO/cs2. I play PvE wiz. I grew up with Pokémon and wiz, Grindy rpgs that aren’t too different, and for wiz, I love having good gear (I like seeing max stats for each point in the game eg having darkmoor/ww/mount olympus/dragoon/aeon gear), but god damn it’s so dead now that I only buy membership now on each new world cause I don’t want to touch the degenerately grindy aspects of in reality, irrelevant side content.

6 mins in, you said it perfectly. I want to feel more attached to my gear. I don’t want to upgrade 1-5% better gear every world, or have 5-6 basically identical gear sets (excluding crowns gear). Like just have a tier 1-2 gear and maybe crowns gear being identical to the grinded for gear

Oh and also, they’ve made the game so that having multiple wizards of different schools isn’t viable now unless you rot your life away and live in ur parents basement or are compo scamming. Ain’t no time

like every ice mob using frost giant making battles take ages or storm dying in 3 hits lol

The only thing I want is pet talents to be purchase in the crown shop already to you can just make the pet that way if you want , everything else is there, give us the option to do that, if you are just ftp in this game just stop , they are not going to make this game ftw period. I disagree with your comments on pet making. I've made tons of successful pets w/o spending any crowns, your just basing this on making a successful pet fast. If you wait your time out, you can use the kiosk to slowly make a perfect pet.

This is the no1 reason PvP is dead. Being competitive with all the gear you need before you can even start is too much of a grind. I used to do PvP back when max level was 60. Now I have a job and a family. I want to do PvP, but I can't, I simply don't have the time. I find myself doing nothing but grind for gear and before I've even got it all, a new world comes out and it's all obsolete
