Straight up beat this game in one sitting. Once I started I could not stop lol. I was rocking the Raphael.

Hearing smooth Donatello again was great, glad you enjoyed the game as much as I did!

My first cinema experience was Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze, and from there I gobbled up every ninja turtle toy and video game I could as a kid. Over 30 years later and this game makes all of that time, energy and quarters worth it! Glad all us Turtles fans are having a blast with it! TURTLE POWER! 🐢🍕✋

I bought and played through this game the day it came out and couldn't stop grinning! All of the references to the show and the old games were so good. All it's missing is foot soldiers hiding behind Pizza Hut signs and dropping them on you from above.

You're always a blast to watch. Nice to see another mega turtles fan catch all the references.Thanks for an awesome video. Cowabunga!

Between this and Streets of Rage 4 the classic beat up games are making a comeback.

My favorite thing in beat-em-ups is when the they go nuts with the playable characters. I hope they add a bunch more even though they said that they'll wait and see what to do in the future.

Seeing the pure joy in your smile and enthusiasm while playing this is so satisfying. You can really tell how much effort and heart was put into this game. The voices, references and the animation style is just perfect! One might say totally bodacious!

12:27 Not only is that an unreleased toy, but you remember it most from the bridge level in TMNT III: the Manhattan Project on NES.

It's Turtle Time!

Andre was me when I was playing this on stream. I was just SO into everything going on in this. The characters looked great, the sound design was great, the music is amazing and the nods to the franchise were all just fantastic. I was 5 years again and loved every second of it.

This game is seriously my game of the year! So fun, so many references, graphics are amazing and the soundtrack it unbelievable. Now I wonder if we can get the same team to give us a new Simpsons arcade game.

Not only is this game amazing to play, but it probably has THE best video game soundtrack! Not a single bad track in the bunch. I would legit buy a physical cd of this ost.

My face is usually Donnie, but Raph's German Suplex was the main reason he is my main....I miss his power bomb move

This was the one reaction to the gameplay I was hoping for. Only because I keep seeing all these side characters and going "OH HEY. ....THAT GUY. I'M SURE ANDRE KNOWS WHO THEY ARE CAUSE I NEVER ACTUALLY WATCHED THE SHOW, JUST PLAYED THE GAMES."

I thought I knew the Turtles until I watched you play Shredder's Revenge. It was a lot of fun watching you recall everything from the old-skool cartoon. It's such a great game and blast of nostalgia.

11:09 Don't you DARE compare this level to the racing level in Battletoads. I wanted to love those games, but every time I got to that level I could never get past it. I can already tell just by looking at this one that I could beat it after a few tries. 26:28 Tell that to the first 2 games and the Gameboy ones. I mean you don't need Leatherhead to be a good game but it looks like my top 3 favorite TMNT games all feature Leatherhead (this one, Manhattan Project and Turtles In Time SNES version). This is one of your very best videos. I love seeing you playing video games. I'm a huge ninja Turtles fan so I was very happy to see all the lesser known characters they brought back. Special mention goes to Dirtbag and especially Groundchuck (I loved their first appearance on the cartoon Planet of the Turtleoids, I had their toys and especially liked Groundchuck as he and Walkabout were 2 TMNT toys my father bought me when we went to a comic and book store that's only 5 minutes away from home), but the most exciting character to see return was Tempestra. Leonardo Versus Tempestra has been one of my all-time favorite Ninja Turtles episodes ever since I saw it on VHS as a kid, and I was so happy to see her again in Night of the Rogues. Aside from maybe Lord Dregg, she's my favorite villain created for the cartoon and really deserved an action figure.

I'm surprised that you didn't also point out Raphael's victory pose whenever you complete a level as him, in which he is seen holding up a pizza and taking a slice of it in exactly the same manner as he did in the cartoon intro. ;D

Me and my nephew played through this game in one sitting when I went to visit my family the other week, and what a delightful experience! I grew up on the 80's turtles cartoon, so this was hitting all the nostalgia feels, while also being a damn fun beat'em up that evoked the old Arcade and NES games I grew up loving. I do wish the Cowabunga Collection had released first, but, man, as a TMNT fan, this year is has so much love you'd think it was an anniversary year or something! Watching you play, and seeing how enthusiastic you are about the series and the game was so much fun. Bro-fist! We played it on my nephew's Switch, and unlocked everything, so now I have the pleasure of playing through it on my PS5 and unlocking everything all over again! lol

we need shreddar's revenge part 2! i've played through this game more than 10 times now, still fun. Perfect game you wish was longer!

No sequel, but there is going to be a re-release of Battletoads Double Dragon.

Hear me out....I believe that those "man-like " mousers may be a reference to Out of the Shadows (game, not movie) when Mikey saw those similar machines with the mousers and called them "Man-sers"....you know, Mikey's penchant for naming villians

Bro, let me tell ya...I grew with the OG TMNT (1987)...when watching the 2012 TMNT, it was weird for me to get used to Rob Paulsen voicing Donnie. But I did and there was the reference in 2012's "Transdimenional Turtles" where there was banter between 2012 Donnie and 1987 Raph about their voices

Fun fact: There was a line of turtles that could change back and forth from regular turtle to ninja turtle, transformers style. Donatello's version has bo staves that could convert to pogo sticks. Nice Easter egg, IMO.

This game made me so very happy! Every second playing was well spent

Raph is usually slept on in most TMNT games. But in this one he's actually awesome. Only him and April have super moves that you can control their movement after triggering it. But all in all, they accomplished with this game making every character fun to play with.

I've been waiting to see your reactions to this! It brought back so many memories I went and bought a few seasons of the OG series. You do some solid impressions BTW!

Andre, I love you like a play cousin for choosing Donny first. Donny was always my go-to.

It truly shines with friends and is easier to complete with even strangers online as that let's you weather the storm of Foot soldiers and key is healing partners. I completed the game with 4-5 rotating players always changing jobs by Instinct and health status of offense, resting away from enemies or being the healer or protector of healers. It's a much worthy game worth many plays.

I'm looking forward to the next part of this. I'll admit, I didn't grow up on the 80's cartoon, but even I found myself smiling when characters like Irma or the Punk Frogs turned up.

I admire your passion for the game and attention to detail from the source materials. Love the impersonation of the characters. Keep at it!

Good dlc potential with new levels and new bosses from the toy line. But I had an even better idea. A big dlc with a bunch of new levels and bosses and a big bad threatening the world and destroying the Technodrome and making Shredder and Krang join the turtles to fight as selectable characters (maybe even Bebop and Rocksteady too). I know it's an old trope of bigger bad causing bad guys to join good guys but a playable Shredder and Krang has never done before in a TMNT beat'em up. The special moves can be unique instead of just a burst attack, like Shredder drinking a drop of ooze and becoming super for 10 or 15 seconds, passing the star limit for each stat but losing health fast.
