I worked at the guitar center on sunset back in 2001. The guitar dept set up smoke machines behind the amps and would smoke anyone out that was playing anything annoying

I would have cranked the amp to 11 (lol. If you've seen Spinal Tap, you know) and jammed out like I was in concert with the smoke rolling around me.

You should have done it on the 12 string, but that was funny!

Fun fact: the song is called stairway to heaven because it’s what you’ll be walking up if you attempt to play it anywhere near a guitar store.

He literally can play anything but being in Megadeth definitely hinders his abilities since Dave wants to keep him routed in Metal. You should check out Kiko's solo project stuff as well as his former band Angra. They're a power metal band from Brazil

Once at a Guitar Center I was checking out a Warwick bass guitar in the "Expensive" used room. I looked up and 2 employees were staring at me. I said, "Ok I know I suck, but was it THAT bad?" . They laughed and the older one said he was amazed that I was playing Buddy Miles' "Them Changes" . He said he'd never once heard anyone playing that in a music store.

I played at Tootsies in Nashville for about 8 months. Talking to one of the nighttime performers who had played there several years he told a similar story. On the wall near the main stage (stage is tiny, maybe 4x8, full band huddled together rocking the last 60 years). Anyway, on the wall is a sign that reads, ‘Freebird, $100’, attempting to thwart any requests. The guy singer said one night a patron requested Freebird, the guy pointed to the sign. Patron presented $100. Then requested it again. And again. They played Freebird 10 times in a row. Always a treat to separate a drunken fool from his $ but when his pride won’t make him quit it’s even more satisfying. The band did well that night, albeit at the annoyance of the rest of the crowd I would suppose.
