I've had dozens of great Guitars in my life from vintage Gibsons to Parker Fly's to USA Jackson soloist and I own 3 Schecter 1200.00 USD (average) Guitars and they are quite nice.Solid, well made, great mid-range Guitars. I have not even tried their Custom Shop USA models yet as I would probably go with a Mayones or a another vintage L.P. Standard or Custom for that kind of Scratch. I have seen some beauties though from their Custom Shop. They obviously have Excellent Quality Control in their South Korean factories. I just can't get with anything from Indonesia. Too many horror stories and as a country I do not dig their government or laws.

Yeah for $1100. I want PAFs and no Bigsby and some deep tones. Seems to be exactly as he described it. As I said I am amazed at how many Bigsbys are on Hollow Guitars. I'd like to hear it with PAFs and a ONLY a 5 " block under stoptail bridge . Not semi hollow but 7/8ths hollow.

Filtertrons roll off much of the bottom end on Hollow and Semi Hollow Guitars. Overwound PAFs with Parallel and Single Coil ( for this bright sound ) . Filtertrons will make any Guitar sound thin and bright - generally not why we WANT a 3" thick Hollow is my point.

They started in the 70's by making aftermarket parts for fender guitars, then stats and tele copies. They always did non metal guitars. I own a 2009 tempest custom, wich is a kinda offset rock n roll guitar, its one of the best rock guitar i've played and owned, better than some american sg's in my opinion. Schecter has ALWAYS made niche market guitars. They also do guitars aimed at the surf guys and retro guys. You can find them online but they do not market them. The original Schecters were made in the late 70s by Dave Schecter and he was pumping out juiced up pickups exotic woods and a quality way better than what fender was putting out at the time. Players like Mark Knopfler used them and they have a great sound, but way far from metal. Still quite vintage. Crazy how far they've come these days, and their higher end stuff can still resemble those original Dream Machines.

I am stunned by the quality of the video Darrell gives us. I mean the Video quality. It exceeds anything I get from mainstream media. Quite fearless and honest to put himself under such intense lighting. A genuine guy with his feet firmly on the ground. As regards pickup selection, I personally I prefer the opposite to Darrell: I like a full humbucker on the bridge with single coil ,or split humbucker, at the neck. I guess that is why it is good to have the choice.

The pups coil splits switching features, as with any other guitar decreases tone while they also add more options in tone. This the 1st Filltertron pickups that I have ever heard of seen and heard demo'd. Thanks Darrell for this video. 👍 Schecter is really stepping up their guitar models , features and I have always been a fan of their non-hollow body and their hollow body guitars. I also like the Roller Bridge on this Schecter Coupe- electric guitar, as well as their use on most other guitars ! ! ! I own 6 Schecter guitars. 😎🤗 I really like the Schecter Coupe-(DeVille) demo'd in this video and am gonna go check out color options and the pups coil split on a solid body guitar would work well and still get most of the tones demo'd here in this video ! ! ! Peace & Play 🎸 On . . . 😎🤘🎸👍 DDHarris 5-1-2020.

This guitar retails at £1,189 in the UK. There are literally hundreds of models of hollow body guitars available for way less than that. It's a nice guitar, sure, but it's absolutely not any kind of bargain.

I suggest getting a life and worrying less about Darrel's property. Have you any idea what point he was trying to make in that red Squire/Strat video regarding tone? Rhetorical question. Of course you dont. But you know your soul 'dies.' Lol.

Hi Darrell. I really enjoy your channel, and love the guitar reviews. I just completed a rehab and setup on my son’s Schecter Diamond Series Omen 6, and I was blown away by the tones and incredible sustain that were generated by this relatively inexpensive guitar. I just watched your review of the Schecter hollow body, and what came to mind immediately when I saw it was “Wow, a Gretschenbacker”! If a Gretsch and a Rickenbacker had a baby, this would certainly be the result. I think I’m going to try to find one. Great review and demo!
