After watching 3 of your videos, you always come up with things I didn’t thought were possible ! 😮❤
You are truly such a genius and so criminally underrated! I've shared on my twitter!
It reminds me the way W. Carlos was working with her Moogs, way back in the 60ees and 70ees. Thank you a lot for this video where we can see the backside of your tremendous amount of work for providing such excellent renditions. 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Bravo! You're an inspriration. I purchased a re.corder. Now to have fun.
Well, you sold me! :) My order is going in shortly
Great - many thanks! You inspired me to order one.
Great!
Amazing
Way cool! So if you don't like one particular measure or phrase on just one instrument/part, can you like surgically go in and edit out/replace that measure or phrase, and does it resynch/reintegrate into the whole seamlessly then? How do you find the relative volume and sound quality between re.corder and acoustic recorder "raw" or do you have to tinker with that differential to incrementally equalize the overall sound texture of that recording as a whole? Do you ever add acoustic ambience (see my "church/chapel" mistake last post) like "wash" overall or leave it as a standard small indoor chamber venue sound?

Hi Andrea, you can edit both acoustic instruments and MIDI instruments. For MIDI instruments, you can edit more closely but it's possible to re-record a new acoustic passage and insert it into the whole structure. I rely heavily on editing in my audio files. I do add ambience to my recordings as well. People are divided on this, with some thinking it sounds "fake". But I do not like the dry sound that comes with an "out of the box" recording.

@@JamesHowardYoung you're both an Innovator +Master at this delightfully time-warped blend of original Bach, new reorchestration, new and period instruments, tech, editing, and performing. (Haven't seen or heard anything even approaching your skill since Walter/Wendy Carlos, and even them you've surpassed by far already, imo.) ty as always!
Thanks! I have a re.corder. I’m a recorder player, so I’m ahead of the game in that respect. But, I’m a complete noob when it comes to the recording software, and how a MIDI instrument like the re.corder ties in, and how to obtain and use alternative virtual instrument sounds from the ones supplied by Artinoise. Can you point me to any information that will help me catch up in those areas?

You will need DAW software to connect the Re.corder to your Mac or Windows laptop via Bluetooth LE.
Hi James, would you recommend this for someone who's traveling and wants to practice recorder without making noise?

Yes absolutely! You can just bring a phone and headphones and it works great.
What an amazing thing! What's the piece at 5:08?

Thank you! That’s the concerto for three harpsichord in d minor of Bach in an arrangement for recorders. You can see the full performance here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZWtq17STn5Obe9Y.html
I couldn't find it online to buy.
Question: I just started looking at these electronic recorders. They seem to have "octave" button. I'm used to playing 2 octaves +, on a recorder using the rear hole and breath pressure. Do these play the same notes the same way? No reviewers seem to explain this.

If I understand your question, yes the re.corder plays in the upper octave by pinching the rear thumb hole.
That's amazing! 🤩🤯 Thanks for the video.🤍 Now I need to have one too.
