I started these indie demo days last year sometime, and I think i've managed to play a game with feels in every single time I do one, it's just a pavlovian response now 😂

it’s always these games that bring out a paternal instinct in me (even if im still at such a young age) and honestly it makes me tear up so bad haha. thank you for playing such nice and sweet games, morph. nice game choices! :) i love the voice acting haha. hearing the stitch voice reminds me of your ‘my child lebensborn’ gameplay. boy that made me cry like a baby too.

thanks so much! That's my goblin son, he lives in my bottom drawer and sits on my shoulder during streaming and recording and chimes in, he played Sherb in my Animal Crossing playthrough and has been appearing on the show for years now.

It's incredibly endearing how invested you get in these games. It makes me think you must be a very kind-hearted person. Is it too much to hope that the full version of this game might have a happy ending? Or....happy-ish? I keep wanting to play My Child Lebenstrom in the hopes that I could get a better outcome fro Klaus, even though I know that's not really possible.

aww thanks! i'm gonna bet this game has a happy ending but LOTS of feels on the way there and probably the kind of happy where you cry.

The Tomb Sweeping Day is a traditional festival in China. When the day comes, the scattered family members will get together and to sweep the graves of previous family members. When I was a kid they used to burn fake money in front the grave, so as they say the dead could use it on the other side. But as the graves were mostly located in the mountains in the countryside, this activity often lead to the forest fire also pollute the air, so the burning part was banned. And yes the X sound in Chinese is more like Sh sound

that was beautiful. When they roleplay and have pokemon style battle was so cute, and then they start taking about the mom and how they miss her...that hit me like a truck. Please consider doing the next part

Aw, I love this. The story is so moving and the emotional music and striking visuals just make it hit that much harder! Feels like a tough talk with a loved one at the golden hour. Your bond keeping you strapped to life, through all the challenges. Also loved the voices you did!

in Asian and Middle Eastern culture, people normally do not ask for help even if the situation is dire. To ask someone for help means that you failed to reach your goal through your own efforts and greatly burdened someone else. If they agree to help you, often times now you owe them and allow them essentially an IUO favor. I don't agree with this system because even among family, help isn't help, it's just another transaction. Edit: thank you @MadMorph !

I subscribed to you because of the way you played another game as a father. It was so refreshing to hear someone where hating children isn't their personality trait. The way you read the childs story with care made me hit the subscribe quickly. I've been watching you since!

I was born in 1991. So I remember cassette tapes and rotating phones. Also the start of the computers starting to improve. But omg if the land-line and computer were going at the same time...that annoying sound it would make. @_@

I'm sorry, I don't think I'll be able to watch the rest of this one... I want to support your channel but this video hits a bit close to home in too many ways. My sister is called Lily, she passed away a few years ago from the same disease that I have. We grew up just like Lili in the game, constant surgeries, not able to join in with kids playing because we couldn't run or jump with everyone else. At least we had each other back then though. I'm agnostic, but I still like the idea in the game about where the mum is. I truly hope she is in a better place now. Watching 'before your eyes' utterly truly broke me. I didn't know the plot beforehand, so it totally took me by surprise with the twist about the boy's adult life just being his imagined one. I'm sort of glad I didn't know, because otherwise I wouldn't have watched it and it was cathartic in a way. Even though I cried afterwards for about an hour and still tear up thinking about it. Sorry to get so personal in a youtube comment. As you can probably guess, I don't really have many people to talk to. Well, none really. So it feels nice to at least talk to the void about it. I'll be right back watching with the next game though

that father who's a cook, he talks like my mom and i hate it every time. she always says that if i want to eat something nice i need to cook myself or stop complaining :(

This game is so sad, but also so wholesome in the way that you as dad engage your daughter's imagination to overcome her physical limitations. Also, the battle system (I won't spoil it) is a brilliant and totally unexpected turn. Please do a full playthrough once this game is released!

This hits on a whole different level My next youngest nephew was really sick when he was little, so he was in and out of hospital a lot and even got make a wish like 3 times

So I just wanted to give an explanation of the little girl's turtle comment in case anyone was confused. The Chinese term used here is most likely to be 規則 which typically translates to "rule" although in some cases (like this one) it can be translated to law. The word 規 is phonetically identical as the word 龜 which is the word for turtle, hence the little girl's question about whether or not law has anything to do with a turtle 😄

The visuals of this game are amazing in places, but the writing is terrible. The first game I ever see to have an opening npc dialog worse than Dark Souls😕
