The bumpers (ps controller r1 and l1) could be how to dodge walls. Right bumper ducks right, left bumper ducks left, and both bumpers ducks straight down. And same thing with the triggers (r2 and l2) to just move left or right

Ehhh, that might work but an even better way to do this would be L2 and R2 ANALOG values move you left and right to the max. Pressing both cancels it out. L1 and R1 swap hands to other side, but not the stick. But one button is toggle, other is hold. L3 and R3 allows us to duck. One is toggle, other is hold. Which is toggle and hold should be remappable. I am not sure about L1 and R1 100%, but if you only get Blue tiles on both left and right lanes, it should help, without needing automovement to kick in.

This is now officially supported in the mod!

I can see this being really useful if you're working on a custom map and want to see how it feels in game without putting your headset on. But also if you're traveling and have a gaming laptop, being able to play without a headset is going to be a major advantage if you find new customs you want to try but don't have your headset with you.

Yeah lol 115,s on score saber would be insane. I think with enough work it will be great for those who cant physically with normal vr weather that be injury,play area,money,disabiltys the amount of growth could be awsome.

This is really amazing. It is definitely harder than vr, because well, you know. Even then, Like the pinned comment said, this is great for people who need accessibility options.

This mod is amazing, it’s gonna make Beat Saber more accessible to the ones who want to play it who don’t have a headset

Driver4VR. just use that. still costs money (more actually) but It has so much more than some controller playing. You can use keyboard, mouse, switch, etc... (including controller support) it's 18 bucks on steam but still works. sorry for the unasked advert but just wanted to say this

This mod looks awesome!! I genuinely cannot wait till it fully gets released, hopefully sooner than later

you can also use switch controllers, which tbh I did not use the mod, just the steam vr "plugin" (the controllers are turned into controllers or/and sensors) also good to note because (like the slime vr) it's only using accelerometers. so that's why for me it drifted a lot

I guess it's a nice idea and possibly passable implementation, usable for some map testing, and for people who actually can't afford a headset. But it's not the same thing with 2 axis per stick and auto-position. I would hate it if people avoid getting a VR headset because of this. Beat Saber is one of the mechanically solid VR games, so why would you go out of your way to not play it in VR? Things you'll miss out on without VR: - Depth perception (important especially in difficult and dense maps, and sometimes to distinguish the cubes from the background) - environment scale and immersion - more intense lighting in headset, (larger FOV, 3D) - spatial slice sounds - feeling of slicing through the blocks by hand - body movement (some custom maps are designed to make you dance in a certain way, with how the blocks are placed, utilizing newton's third law) - adrenaline and endorphins from physical movement

I'm definitely not trying to replace VR, and that's not the intention of the mod. It's for those who want a different way to play the game. Whether that be for accessibility, lack of a headset, quick map testing or to just try something different with the game like playing on Deck.

I play beat saber on the vr, but this looks pretty cool too. For people that get motion sick on beatsaber vr this could be a good alternative

Deck Saber sounds like it was made for the Steam Deck. Maybe it means, that you should use Trackpads to control the sabers.

I hope this gets native support. This is so cool for accessibility

No. And they won't be. Pink has said that DeckSaber will have it's own scoreboard and scoring system.
