Playing against ALL OF TWITCH CHAT in Chess

Ойындар

This came from my livestream on February 3rd, 2021! Watch live next time (I'm live Sunday to Friday): / northernlion
The website I used is here: chess.gempir.com/ -- big ups to Gempir for the site, it's awesome!
I got sick of getting elo bullied by Twitch chat so I challenged them to a series of chess matches where they could vote on what moves to play. Place your bets and check it out!

Assuming we ignore the Kh1 shenanigans, at least.

I think the notation is O-O or O-O-O depending on short or long castle. Or you might just say e1-g1 and it'll recognize castling as a legal move

I think I've seen Eric Rosen play chess against viewers on lichess, so maybe there's options there if you want to do the postgame analysis.

You should play against subscribers. Eric Rosen tried and found that playing against subs there is no bongcloud. Also he played on lichess with normal bot where you could enter "Ba1"

NL why don't you have a 3 way chess tournament between your chat, Dan Gheeslings chat, and Levy Rozman's chat

Can someone explain to me why the game ended in a stalemate? Like why can't White move the King to C2 for example?

37:00 D5-C4 could lead to a flank on the pawns. Promote, then win.

@@Droid15243Z There is just no way to actually take any pawn unless the opponent goes crazy. The king guards the base pawn on the kingside, the bishop guards both pawns on the queenside, and the bishop is guarded by one of those pawns. Everything is on dark squares against a light square bishop. You can play a million moves and nothing is getting captured or promoted.
