Man, you know what universes beyond would really be popular, and im surprised that they haven't given the green light yet? NONE OF THEM! mtg is the only IP they should be strengthening. they should be making an anime for prime subscribers they should be advertising it everywhere. Should be getting some good lore writers to create a huge overarching story to get the people theorizing. It should be uncool if you are not playing the game or watching the shows. But instead of all that, let's make other IPs more money at the cost of their identity just for a quick buck

@EvilerOMEGA exploring the lore for sure there are so many old books and stories. It doesn't have to even be an anime. That's just what's popular right now. Imagine if they had released a 10-episode brothers' war show alongside the set release.

I could see it happening, then again Assassins Creed being a failure seems like something they could have avoided so who knows what they are gonna do. bet the Skyrim Spider would be an auto include in a Spider deck tho.

MTG needs to treat spiders better. I wonder if Spider-Man will be a Spider Human for the MTG Marvel set. I have a lot of great content in the works, hit that like and sub, I love it when commenters appreciate the game

Hopefully they remember fallout's success rather than assassin creed's failure when considering elder scrolls. They would get at least one collector booster box and one of each commander deck out of me. I wonder if they would make commander decks based around the different games (morrowind, oblivion, skyrim) or if it would be more tribal (dragons, demons/devils (daedra), artifacts/dwarves (dwemer), and gods (aedra))

Honestly, i just want a Witcher secret lair or a Monster Hunter crossover in the next Tarkir set in the same way godzilla worked in Ikoria.

Fair. I do think WOTC is putting less effort into existing MTG lore. Even MH3 is just reworked older planes and characters

Personally I do like elder scrolls but I wouldn’t want a universes beyond, I understand this is an unpopular take, but I like the more wacky universes beyond stuff because it feels like they can make more flavourful cards that call back to the featured ip.

I agree with that. I like a challenge, and making weird things like Dr. Who or Fallout a UB is interesting

IMO, they should stop doing crossovers. It just shows that MtG is running out of ideas so they have to borrow from other franchises. Reskinned cards as Secret Lairs are fine but creating entire mechanics around other franchises is creatively lacking. They're unable or unwilling to create something new within the Magic universe so they resort to using other IPs.

I concur with that statement. There have been mass layoffs over the years at WOTC, and having a smaller creative team to use crossover IP is more cost efficient
