That first game checkmate was like a Mozart piece from Aman. Gotta get Aman’s how to stay calm course.

9:30 is my favourite part of this episode. It's great to see how far into the future Aman can see so quickly in just the opening with a move like that. Openings can be so complex and I love that i couldnt even fathom how he immediately thought it was a miraculous move. The explanations are a great add.

I have struggled to find something I enjoy playing as black vs e4. I have been trying this system and doing very well with it, and more importantly, I find the resulting positions I'm getting more tactically rich than those in the CK. I'm loving this series! Thank you!

With a high risk of sounding like another 1500 saying "where are those guys in my pool", people in this episode seemed quite lacking of a stick on the ice compared to those in previous episodes. Goes to show how much of a beast Aman really is! Go checkmate course!

Yeah you sound like that. but at least you aren't delusional and oblivious to the fact that it's Aman playing well not them playing worse than the normal 1500.

As always, I'm laughing out loud for real while watching y'all video. That first game's ending was hilarious. Toyed with him like he was gonna have a fight for who is getting flagged first and then sneak in a checkmate. That's hilarious

I know you said you were playing the dutch against d4, and maybe those games could go in a separate series because I for one would want to see them. However if you haven't been commenting much on those games because they weren't Taimanov that makes sense. Nevertheless love this series Aman!

What I learned while watching; leave threats on the board… till forced to move hince the restriction of enemy play and pawn mobility.

You should do a hand-brain sesh with subscribers to check if they really have the opening down. You know, with the usual stakes: permaban and second-hand youtube shaming for all people to see and enjoy

  • @Luke-pb4gm

yeah, we do. it's actively good for black for white to play Bc4 in the taimanov. but white couldn't play Bc4 without b5 kicking it off the diagonal or trapping it after Bb3 c4. they usually play Bc4 and waste time with a3 since b5 always comes with tempo and they'd rather die than leave the a2-g8 diagonal. most people who don't know taimanov theory love the bishop on that diagonal for some reason. maybe it makes them think of the italian game, idk. playing b5 first completely stops Bc4, which white shouldn't be playing anyway. but it's a tilt-inducing move for bad white players because they really really want Bc4. i guarantee that if Aman didn't play b5, white would play Bc4 followed by Ba2
