Yes, I've noticed that Phil concentrates mainly on those bass notes. Phil is not only a great singer but also an amazing guitarist just like his father, John Wickham. He really received such a great talent to glorify God. To be honest, I also learn how to play guitar like him. The way he strum really amazed.. Thanks Garrett

Hi Garret, thanks so much for the insight I’m also a huge fan of Phil wickham' because he tunes his guitar a step down or half a step he also plays in DADGAD which makes it easier to play his songs in D

  • @GarrettNoganAcoustic

Hey Nathan - for rhythm acoustic which is what I play probably 90% of the time, I use a .46 or .50 pick. If I am playing songs that require more picking of individual strings and percussive stuff, I'll definitely go a little thicker but not a ton. Most people equate thicker picks as 'better' or 'more advanced'. I really don't see it that way at all. Different sized picks just have different uses. I usually have a couple different sized picks on that little pick holder I have up on the head stock :)
