Why do you put the piano and strings mono? Just wondering because people seem just put the bass in mono.

In the samples that I’m trying to make sound authentically vintage I make all of the instruments mono and then pan them to emulate old recording techniques such as recording through an 8 track

It just allows me to run the audio out of the computer and control the volume so it’s not too loud or too quiet going into hardware
