Years ago, I bought Atari 2600 Star Raiders, full price, and then some years after, Atari Computer Star Raiders, greatly reduced. I was really psyched when I heard about the 2600 version, which ended up being a cash grab. The computer version was leagues better. On the 2600, Starmaster was everything Star Raiders 2600 should have been.

I rarely comment on KZread videos, but, oh my...that dog’s breakfast bit was hilarious 😂

Shame what happened to Platinum. Their Omega Supreme actually turned out very well, and they put out one of the only game-accurate FOC Bruticuses out there. I also managed to get my hands on a Predaking through them, even if my Divebomb was a bit misassembled. But when they missed, they really did miss.

Am I mistaken, or did the original Optimus mold have the penis too? In which case the figure is even worse for not fixing that with the redeco.

@@DrLockdown Plus it shouldn't be hard to sand or snap the pee pee down. Honestly looks more like a umbilical cord that was poorly cut than a penis with how its placed.

I wasn't stupid enough to touch this, even as a kid.

The only platinum figure I got was year of the snake omega supreme, and that's because I also got the maketoys Armageddon add-on kit dirt cheap.

Great review But my god that truck mode

Adventure Magnus (Japanese RID 2015 line) is more accurate in both modes, minus the hammer design. It's an extensive retool of Arms Micron Optimus (Powerizer) with grey plastic instead of white.

i think the real issue with the head is that its all the same shade of blue instead of having the chin and sides be darker and the spikes be silver basically leaving some of the show model's colours out also the model in the show was silver not white so whoever thought using white was a good idea should not be allowed to decide what colours certain parts are

@@DrLockdown yeah when you've watched prime as much as i have you tend to at least know what colour a character would be also them using a very cheep looking white white instead of silver or grey makes it look like they put no effort into it or alternitivly they wanted to go for show accuracy but just decided to use white because they got lazy

@@DrLockdown also come to think of it that's one of the biggest problems with the toy, the fact they used white instead of silver or grey which not only ruins the accuracy they were going for but also makes the toy look cheep as the white just looks like it was chosen to cut costs as it was cheaper than silver or grey

I found my weaponizer Optimus in my attic and the guns are jammed the legs are lose and there’s a knex piece in the chest can someone help me on taking it apart and fixing it

Thanks! We appreciate your due diligence! I have Beast Hunters Ultra Magnus. He’s fun, but has his oddities. No smokestacks-are the shoulder pads smokestacks? Ankles can get loose. I bought a G1 gun off eBay- he only comes with the hammer. Cheap-looking jet pack. Platinum Ultra Magnus, I felt, was green lit because A) larger hammer B) larger figure C) better blue? D) probably cash grab, too. The awesome box really did hide the flaws. The blue on copper is a poorly-executed “glow” effect, as appears on the show. Yeah, I couldn’t get past the…ahem…”gimmick reset lever”. What the hell were they thinking?!? The truck mode has “ears”, with badly-molded smokestacks. I remember wishing my BH Magnus was leader class instead, as a stand-in for G1, way before Siege. However, fire-truck Prime Magnus, has issues, too…

Prime had some great designs over the years, but damn they ran into some troubles

Customizers are going to have a field day with this.......

I'm a humongous Ultra Magnus fan and I found this Ultra Magnus at a collector's store still in box. I didn't get him because at the time I was pretty content with Siege Magnus (I want SS86 or CW now but I still love my armed space-truck-bus to death) but also because I'm not the biggest fan of Transformers Prime along with me already owning both the 1st edition and standard voyager Optimus, so it would have felt like a pointless buy, even with the Forge. Now I'm even happier that I never got him.

When The Box Is Better Than The Actual Toy.

Yep I never understood how these kept getting sold on the online communities apart for nostalgia reasons. First time I ever saw these "plat ed" and looked them up I just laughed, mainly due to the price people were trying to sell them for 😅 better luck next time 👌

I’ve always thought they wanted to sell a “tall” Ultra Magnus. Siege had not hit yet, and I bought BH Magnus, for my G1 collection, and missed the fire-truck Magnus once available. These were voyager size, though, and many were saying plat ed Magnus was “more in scale”, and a “truer blue”. Total horse-puckey… 😅

in the platnum line i think the omega supreme redeco form energon was the only one that was sort of worth it at the time. mainly being the only omega supreme in g1 colors released until siege and they still removed some gimmicks form that figure

I finally found a Legends of Cybertron Megatron, to fight with his Optimus Prime counterpart, at a (rarely) reasonable price. Needs a minor repair, but that doesn’t bother me. What does? He has all kinds of leg articulation, but can’t lift his arms, like, at all. G1 Duocons-G1 Flywheels “flaps” arms, Battletrap- no articulation. Then there’s leader class Thrilling 30 Jetfire-he’s missing some important articulation…

Ugghh. Is that a truck?

I have this figure it's not that bad as people are making it seem the Voyager ultra Magnus is garbage both the original and beast hunters the beast hunters has a crappy forge of Solus prime it's painted silver instead of gold yes I realize that the Platinum Edition has major flaws but I like him alot at least the forge is gold and covers up the hands

As far as WFC-TF:Prime, pre-Siege Ultra Magnuses, there is the 3rd party DX-9 Apollo, but he’s not cheap. Each of the legends/deluxe/voyager mainline Ultra Magnus figures have their issues…

I’m glad that Platinum Edition is forever dead. I didn’t pick any release up because they were all butt-ugly, but that Year of The Goat Soundwave? It wasn’t just infuriatingly bad, it was SICKENINGLY BAD. Literally, it was so bad, I actually had to vomit. Seriously, the only other deco that made me vomit was the Action Masters Thundercracker deco, yet it was at least humorous and didn’t make me vomit all that bad.
