This was one of my dads favorite games of all time before he passed away. Brings back memories when we played this together. He would always pick a low star team and bring them to 6 stats in the Franchise mode. His favorite team was Ajax.

So much nostalgia, I remember this song for two things: Cristiano Ronaldo (I had him on Man United, don't know why I relate the song to him, don't ask me) and Rakitic (when I bought him and when I sold him in my Benfica Career Mode this music was playing, so sick that I still remember this). PS2 memories. :D Wish FIFA soundtracks were like this now.

Wow!, I was 11 years old when this masterpiece of a game came out, now I'm 24 years old and listen to this song again after 13 years gave me some chills and memories, time flyes very fast.

I played a FIFA 09 cracked version on the NDS, so the game was very rough around the edges, but fortunately this was one of the few tunes they kept in this version. Whenever it launched at the start and the chorus kicked in, although I didn't understand English at the time, there was a sense of wonder and excitement, the kind you feel before an important football night. Salamanca, AZ, AFC Tubize, Birmingham City, Bochum, Reggina, Duisburg, Ankaragücü, so many random teams I noticed for some reason in this game and it made me wanna place them on a map. FIFA is great at opening your mind and letting you wonder what life would be like if you lived there instead of Saint Étienne. I miss European nights against unknown Moldovan, Danish or Turkish teams so much, hope we get back soon to the top of the first division where we belong. To anyone reading this whose team is struggling because of poor management right now, keep on keeping on, there will be better days.
