What happens if you have a prep station full of pie crusts, and grabbers pulling out of it from different sides?

It would work the same way. But I don’t think one mixer can keep up with 3 types of pies. Unless you have all frozen prep stations.

automation question, will a smart grabber grab (lets say) a rare steak off a hob? a normal one waits but will a smart one? hard thing to test to be honest, i never seem to get lucky with blueprints.

A smart one will for sure. As long as it is set properly. Which I suggest doing it in practise mode. Move the smart grabber away from the hob. Cook a steak to desired done ness. Then set the grabber. Exit practise and move it back and it will be set without issue!

A big help is using blueprint desks. A conveyor will appear much more on a blue print desk than spawning naturally. Then upgrade to smart grabbers. And if you have a copy desk even better!

@@TheOntarioGardener thx for the anz, as for blueprint desks, one seems to turn up day 3 or so but i very rarely get a 2nd one, even if i reroll a few times, just never lucky.

I have a question. How do you practice like this where you can get whatever you need? I've wanted to experiment with set ups, but I can't find any way to do this.

I’m using a different version of the game to make my guides. However. Mostly everything that you see I’ve done in a real game and it is all very doable. Just need to get the right items. Copy desks. Blueprint desks and many cabinets. Etc. And good rng also helps.

Are There weird interactions with automation? because i didnt know about the combiner and sink until i saw your video for the dough i thought it was a mixer but kinda slow even with rapid.

The combiner sink trick may get patched at some point. But it only works for certain dishes.

Using blue print desks to get conveyours and upgrading them. Copy desks also help a lot to gather items more quickly.

I'll add onto this that the copy desk is almost a necessity. I've never gotten automation going without the ability to copy. All you need at that point is 1 blueprint of a mixer or conveyor and you can just mass produce what you need. Copy desks rarely drop, but I almost always see 2 or 3 research desks, and you can upgrade them to be copy desks. (If you get a research desk and upgrade it and it becomes a discount desk or something else, just leave it and upgrade it again. All of the desks can become any of the other desks so it could take a few days to get a copy desk, but it is extremely worthwhile.)

This is a tutorial map that I use for me guides. So the seed is a random one. But you won’t get the same drops. A few seeds I do like are, 131, Blargh.

@@TheOntarioGardener i to have found the wonderous seed that is 131 iv played up to seed 345 so there a few seeds that offer great drops Burger is also a decent seed But the cards are rather brutal
