Halloween 🦇 is approaching fast, and we are very excited to get back into the restaurant with our spooOOoky update that will come out on the 25th of October 10AM PDT (6PM GMT).

Costumes
What is important for Halloween? Hats!👒
More specifically, a selection of costume hats will be free forever! Head to one of the bedrooms and interact with the costume chest to pick them!
Dishes
You can also expect a bunch more Halloween-themed dishes, which you can get in all locations, from pumpkin pie to... Spiny Fish? 🐟
Automation upgrades
On top of the above, we've also ordered two new items into the restaurant to help with automation; all of you chefs are doing bigger and more complex things than ever expected, so firstly, we're bringing in the teleporters which is an upgraded version of the dumbwaiter, which doesn't require you to interact with it and it teleports instantly!
Secondly are the corner grabbers, which allow you to change the direction of a grabber's output during the day, allowing you to be much more space efficient.
Quality of life
We also have WAY too many bug and quality-of-life changes to list here fully. Still, a couple of major ones to note are that you can start a practice day anywhere through the pause menu, which means that you single players don't need to leave your complicated setup, the second one is that when picking a theme card you can see the perks when choosing.
Twitch Integration
Finally, we know that some of you like messing with streamers, watching or streaming PlateUp! on Twitch, so with that in mind, we've expanded the Twitch integration and added a Trick or Treat mode to further you all to enjoy watching and playing the game on Twitch.

We've also decorated a new location where you can visit to get your Halloween fun; in this restaurant, you expect a whole host of new decorations; jump on in to find out what 👀
Some of you mentioned you like some of our music tracks🎶, so we added some new Halloween tracks for you to enjoy!
You can also expect 4 more cards to be found, which have various effects. These are:
Herd Mentality - All customers come during rush times.
Picky Eaters - Customers can leave food on their plates which must be thrown out.
Tipping Culture - Customers pay based on their remaining patience.
Health and Safety - Customers are slowed by messes.

Yes! I love setting this up (keep losing trying to get it.) You can use this setup with Sides cards if you swap to all metal tables.

If I walked into a restaurant and I saw some dude standing in the back on the phone and the entire system was being automated including washing dishes I'd be like I need this job!

Knowing where the dirty dishes will spawn is so helpful! I use to do practice runs to find out where the plates would spawn.
Looking good! I would add that if you place the buns below the patties/hob and move the plate down one, then reverse the top 4 conveyors so they fill into the top plates, you would have no issues with backlog since the auto-plater grabber will be pulling from the first plate 8 stack, and the back 8 stack is being filled.
This is genuinely so cool to see I just got level 7 so I’m fairly new and I wish I could be able to do this!
Oh my gosh thank you so much for explaining the dirty dishes on double table thing. I could not figure out why my dishes were going on the table farthest from me and it almost screwed up my run. Thank you so much!

The issue for me is surviving long enough to get this many conveyors. I barely get 4 before those cards ruin me.
how can you automate it if you get the picky eaters and add a main starter
does this work with metal tables
How does the Seed System work? At this Seed, I have a another map.

Since this video is quite old, seeds have been changed. So the one you enter here will not work.
How do you accumulate so many conveyors and grabbers though? 🤔 Granted, i have not reached OT 15 yet...

This guide I used mods to spawn in the items. It’s easier for my tutorials. But for all of my let’s play series i play vanilla and don’t spawn anything in.

you need to get a copydesk or two, and then you can copy conveyers, applies for any item, need metal tables? copy metal tables.
Oh wow, I independently stumbled upon the BLARGH seed just last night actually! Very nice. I'm still working towards the goal of complete automation.

Help me !!!!!!! There is a problem. If you stick two tables together, the dirty dishes will not be moved to the conveyor. What should I do?

The table with the number above it spawns the dirty plates. Which is the last table placed in the group. So just make sure the numbered table lines up with the grabber and you’ll be good to go

My dishes appear on the table on which they eat, not the table on which it says, and therefore dirty dishes do not move on the belts

Hello! The last table placed in the group, or the one with the number, is where the dirty dishes will spawn. So just make sure that table corresponds with your grabber layout. :)
