Design and development of Plastic Recycling Plant is a final year project of students of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering Department of NED University of Engineering and Technology (Karachi, Pakistan).
Description: This project deals with the Design, Development and Fabrication of Plastic Recycling Plant to provide ease in recycling of one of the most commonly used Plastic i.e. Polypropylene (PP) and Low-density polyethylene (LDPE). Plastic recycling plant used in different type of industries such as food processing industries, plastic industries and automobile.It is used to recycle various waste materials mainly Plastic and Polymers.
Plastic recycling plant is the combination of various process life cycle including crushing, extruding, cooling and pelletizing. The mode of operation of this machine is very simple; first waste material is crushed in crusher then enters the extruder where there it is melt and then plastic strands goes to water bath for cooling and finally after passing through pelletizing machine, small plastic granules form.These plastic granules later used in Injection Molding Machine to form various plastic products.
It will not only lead to reduce waste and energy consumption; but will also contribute to turn down the Environmental Hazards produced by disposing of Plastic.
