He has complete control over the atoms and molecules of his own body to the point he can change what he’s made out of to ANYTHING. Even Kyptonite. Also he fully immortal and cannot die. You can stop him for a moment but he will come back eventually. He just doesn’t do this due to his morals. If he wanted to he could solo most of the verses out there. I love how blunt he is. Plas can be a pretty despicable guy sometimes, but he's a good man. He calls out superman for exactly what his is. He mocks their delusional power plays, and has no issue standing his ground on his beliefs. Most people would hesitate to stand in opposition of Injustice superman, but whether its because of his power or just his strength of character he doesn't even flinch. He's honestly the best.

There's alot of ways to deal with someone like that though; Throw him into space, tear him to pieces and scatter them (Which worked for an extremely long period of time as a counter), throw them in liquid metal and then harden it (So zero holes to squeeze out of, just a big solid chunk of metal (And then for good measure shoot that into space), ect. Just because they're not DEAD doesn't mean they aren't for all intents and purposes not in a state where they might as well wish they were. Granted, this is the DC universe where absurd coincidences save people (Like Doomsday's meteor he was strapped to when the eradicator threw him back out into space randomly b eing found), but still, without writer's hands, the ways to deal with him are pretty large.

@@Egg8395 It's honestly stuff like this that wants me see Plastic Man in future Justice League installments. One day Batman just brings him along as an ace card against some big threat and no one takes him serious and wonders why batman brought this goof along. Just for Plastic Man to show off later just how ridiculous powerful he can be. Like just a no stop gaps version of Plastic Man in full force against a threat. Growing to gigantic size, splitting up, growing countless appendages transforming in all sorts of shit, some parts getting half melted or blasted apart just to casually rearrange themselves as if it was nothing. Just him turning into a sight where even the JL members are being completely shocked and going "we are so lucky he is on our side"-mode. While Batman is ofc like "told you". Also I think Plastic Man has the potential be a genuinely great mentor for younger members of the league. He has a past in crime and running away from responsibility and yet somehow became a hero, a dedicated husband and loving father because Batman took a chance on him. Also he isnt exactly dumb either and I was always under the impression his goofyness is a facade of his so people can actually be relaxed around him. Like you can make him a genuinely super compelling supporting character.

Then in Batman: Dark Metals, at the last battle against the alternate evil Batmen, Plastic Man became a mixture of nightmares, influenced by the Dark Multiverse, and turned the ties of the battle, turning into a woodchipper, an electrical saw, a T-Rex and three sharks...ALL AT ONCE!

Exactly. Batman considers him a greater, potential, threat than Superman. Batman's contingency plan is to deep freeze him to the point his body shatters and then store each piece in a separate container far apart from each other. Because the pieces can still reform. And he isn't even sure that will be enough to more than slow him down. Batman concludes that he is just thankful that Plasticman is a, genuinely, good person and on their side. And Batman doesn't call many people, genuinely good.

@@assainscreed1234 Mind you, this isn't my assessment, this is Batman's. I believe this is because while Superman is capable of greater feats of destruction, he also has more weaknesses that can be exploited. He is highly susceptible to magic. Totally vulnerable to Kryptonite. And has been proven to be effected by mind control. So there are definite plans that can weaken or kill Superman. The problem with Plastic Man is that, nothing they know of can stop him permanently. They can slow him down, incapacitate him or capture him, but they can't permanently kill him. AND they do not know the limits of his powers. And for Batman, that is the greatest threat to him. An unknown variable. For example, Plastic Man is capable of increasing his strength by increasing his mass. Is there an upper limit to that? Could he keep increasing it until he is the size of a planet or larger?

Here's the thing. Plastic man, at literally ANY time could kill superman, with supes having very little he could do to actually stop it. Since he can't just alter his shape, but also his composition and state. He's basically the improved metamorpho. Which means he can become a mix of nth metal and kryptonite, while still being stretching and shape changing. He's one of the hero's that gets rediculously dangerous in theory, but fortunately is too good to go in that direction. The others in this group are captain atom (who is basically the same as dr manhattan if he tried, since he can re-write the atomic structure of anything and reshape it as he wishes), and firestorm, who can do the same. There are plenty of heroes like that in the DC universe that are super scary, and know it, but don't go to that extreme.

i was also thinking about this but its most likely cuz flash just wasnt expecting to be jumped. he won't live his normal life in slow motion of course so he just wasnt thinking fast when this happened because of how much he trusts plastic man

Plas has reflexes on par with J'onn Jones, who in many ways is Superman's equal. The speed he can move the atoms in his body is ludicrous, and its hell of a lot easier to get the jump on Barry then a diligent Wally. (although both can be given a surprise attack)

Perhaps, Barry felt it would provide some level of plausible deniability.

Plastic man is really like the Majin Buu in DC except he's not a menace to the universe lol. Seeing how powerful and comedic he is I'm surprised he's not shown more often. But seeing the alternate evil version of him.. He's indeed a major threat and is extremely brutal when it comes to killing.
