I planted several thousand loblolly pines raising money for my church youth group almost the same way. We made the dibbles in Ag-shop , logging company company provided the trees and the forestry service got us to where we needed to be. That was 50 years ago. Those trees were thinned at 25 years for pulp wood and recently the rest cut for saw logs. They are now replanted. That plot of trees have yielded 3 cuttings in my lifetime.!

This dibble I made was about 30 lbs without any dirt stuck to it lol

Iv been keeping a close eye on them and accidental cut a pine in half with the weedwacker and iv seen 2 other pine that is brown. Most of the oaks and poplar has greens buds at this point now

You need an pto auger for that tractor. 400 trees is a lot of work.

It wasnt that bad. Iv got a post hole drill but once again the tractor was down

Thks for showing us around - planting trees is such a great idea and if you keep this place for a long time it will be great to watch them grow.

It's will be worth it in the long run and be so pretty when you are sitting on the porch with a bud light in your hand and watch them grow love all of your video been watching you and tater for a long time thanks again stevie

I believe I would have tried to make a ripper hook for the back of the tractor 400 trees is a lot to plant you’ll be one tuff man when you get them planted

@@markskeen6777 I'd bought some from yesterday tractor and takes forever to get the parts. To the point where iv called 3 times and had to raise my voice on the last time after I paid for 2 day mail

Not really much wrong with the tractor other than nickel and dimes me to death. Every time I go to use it I work on it for 35 mins before I get to use it.

We made a couple of them to plant pine on our property with we have planted about 5000 so far and made them the same way except for we used the large firewood splitting wedges for the piece that goes in the ground planted them in 20 foot rows good video Stevie

Man, I planted some 400 trees a couple different years when I bought my property. I found the secret to success was, the roots not too dry, and getting plenty of rain for the first few months. One year, I had a good success rate, the other, lost probably 50%. Good luck!

steve billow I’m in Maine and our high temps are averaging mid to upper 50’s. We had a little tease of warm weather but it’s cooled off and been cloudy and rainy. Good working weather besides the rain. It’s decent out today

Steve I do not know what problems your having with the 9n but we had 3 of them when I was a kid washing and fixing them when I was 8 years old tastiest tractor to work one has very little problems with the fords
