This video was so very Helpful! I tried growing strawberry root crowns last season. I had no clue how to plant the roots crowns. I totally screwed it up, they never grew. I purchased hanging from Lowe’s and they’re growing very nicely. Thx for your tips.

Thank you I wish I had see this great video awhile back. Because I didn't know about strawberries growing back so I threw out many of strawberries plants. Thinking they were done. And I kept buying more. Also I live in zone 10. Now it was starting to get cold. I over mulch them. And threw out plants that I didn't think were going to make it. Also didn't know that I could buy them in those inexpensive boxs. Thanks again. Best videos. I love all of that I seen.

Thanks for the responses Gary! Have you played with the soil pH? I checked my planters and they tested 7.5. How much better will they grow and produce closer to 6 pH? I added some soil acidifier a couple weeks ago and have not retested yet, I know this process is slow. I do not see any marked differences yet in my side by side planters. I have 2 varieties, Quinalt and Albion.

Hi! I've been watching you plant and helped me since 2013 or 14, I forgot... anyways.. just planted a ton of strawberries in a greenstalk self watering planter. The plants look awesome so far. I do use OSMOCOTE and amended the soil with biotone and worm castings. Do I still need to fertilize every 2 weeks after feeding it this way on planting day?? It's April 12, I planted them on March 20th .. thank you and I wish you a ton of success!!
