Do you have any detailed videos of your capillary mat watering set up? I love soil blocking but with our set up situation it's a huge pain to keep them watered compared to trays, but we don't have automated watering. Would love to see a video on this!

Hi! New Subscriber here. Can you tell me how to find a potting tray as big as the one in this video? I love that a whole 1020 tray can fit inside it. I can't find any that big. Thanks for all the good info. I've been flower gardening a long time but only just starting to do soil blocking. I'm excited and I'm happy to have found your videos. They're great!

Hello, thanks for joining us. Soil blocking works really well and we hope you have great success with them. If you are referring to the green tray, we got it from Johnny's Seeds years ago. It was also in the Amazon store for awhile but not sure now. Also if you Google large potting tray, a few mega gardening online stores show it. If you meant the large gray tub, we got them from Home Depot in the cement mixing tub section. Very versatile and useful. It gets used for many jobs. Thank you for watching.

@@BareMtnFarm Thanks so much! I found it, or one like it. I'm so excited to get it! Also added the sieve. I don't have one and it was on sale. Can't wait for it to be time to start working on all this!

Hey, I just saw a short video of Laura at GardenAnswer, she was building a large potting tray out of wood. Plans were included. Maybe that could work. Have a great day.

Hi there. Thanks for sharing. Do you pot these up once they grow bigger. Or straight into the ground in these small blocks.

Hi, yes you can pot them up. We are not planning on potting up because we have many large projects and need to eliminate small steps on many smaller projects. We are hoping to go directly to the garden. Thank you for your question and for watching.

@@BareMtnFarm Thanks so much for the reply. I should’ve asked. How long do you guess they can stay in this size of soil blocks. I have the same size but wonder how long they can stay in that amount of soil. How soon do you put the onions in the field. I forget what zone you guys are there. Is it 6? How soon can you plant onions outside where you are. I’ve caught the gardening itch. Won’t be long now :) Cheers guys.
