Planting Lavender in the Fall with Pruning Tips (no bald spots!)

I love planting Lavender in the fall time because it gives the plants a chance to really start to create their root systems in the earth during the cooler months and then shoot up super quickly and full the following spring.
In this video I demonstrate how to properly plant your new purchased Lavender Plants along with various tips to successfully grow thick, bushy plants and avoid the dreaded bald spots that so often occur in Lavender Plants.

Planting in the fall can be bad in some areas. It depends on your planting zone, what soil type you have. May be better for you to plant in the spring. Give the plant time to establish roots. I don't like planting lavender in fall here. Doesn't do well at all. Had better luck seeding indoors then planting in spring after the final frost. Usually some time after Easter.
