Joe - I’m considering transplanting a few hostas from pots into the ground - and replant under my tree fern. I’ll try the plastic for extra moisture. It’s risky though owing to the slugs. Once those fresh shoots start appearing in Spring - you’ll need to keep a sharp eye out for them. Still nothing ventured.

I’ve recently moved and have a lovely big garden that I’m currently working on, I want to plant up an area for hostas which I love they’re going in a dry area, under some conifers, I’ll be using the wool pellets although funnily enough I’ve not found many slugs in my garden. Recently come across your channel and I really like your garden, I see you have quite a few ferns, I like them to 😊

If u use peat moss you will not go to hell. And if you dont use peat moss you will not necessarily go to heaven.
