    If the collective atomsphere of the workplace is one of aggrivation and misery, despite being cooperative. Then, it's a good sign that the root problems can't be ignored. And remember, the primary workers rights are essential but, the solidarity of strangers will illustrate the seriousness of a union's demands.

    I’ve heard of housing cooperatives where the residents own the apartment building and make decisions for improvements or other changes democratically. The rent goes into the cooperative’s fund to perform maintenance, pay property taxes, ect.

    The guy in the first interview should question why a university with is statistically filled with far-left faculty and administration would be so hesitant against actually implementing the ideas they virtual signal about. To the second guy, he is likely unable to say where he worked previously because he was fired with cause, if he was successful he would have mentioned the company. From the examples he gave it sounds like he worked at a place were the job can be learned rather quickly. If you are in a low skill job you are better served squiring the skills that would allow to get a job were you do have leverage when negotiating you employeement agreement. This is why it's ironic that he uses Amazon wherehouse workers as an example, they have a really good track record of empowering there workers to acquire the skills they need to get paid more. Amazon also pays more than the minimum wage and the surrounding wherehouse jobs. Amazon has actually been accused by people on the left of overpaying to kill their competition. When your ideology has built-in futility it makes sense that leftists statistically have more mental health disorders.

  • @dropyourself

    @dropyourself

    He's friends/acquaintances with a lot of people you call tankies and hates the true (white liberal) leftists. If you use tankie unironically you need to read a book and listen to a non white person because all the most influential leftist voices in history would be considered tankies (and also non-white but let's ignore those racial superiority undertones).

    Sisyphus is not a tankie. However, he does seem to have a pro-socialist leaning that comes through in a lot of his work. I feel like he tries not to be too overtly political, but not to the extent where he will self-censor if he feels strongly. I do believe, however, that Sisyphus is a little too academic/theoretical about socialist or communist ideas to the extent where I fear that he would err on the side of optimism rather than really thinking through the tragedies that have incurred in the past and could occur in the future.
