plant-based what I eat in a day: healthy & high protein (150g of protein) | soy free meal ideas

Welcome back to a new video! In today's video, im showing you some vegan high-protein meals that are packed with nutrients such as fiber, iron, potassium, and more. Although one of the meals I shared contains soy milk, the majority of them are soy-free, and you can easily make the rest soy-free with a few substitutions. I hope you enjoy this video, and you can find the ingredients for each meal listed below.

09:20 Loaded bbq sweet potato (32g of protein)
12:01 Creamy veggie quinoa & tofu (40g of protein)
RECIPES:

PB&J Smoothie:
1-1.5 cups dairy free milk (I used soy milk)
1 scoop protein powder
1/2 - 1 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 banana
2 tbsp peanut butter powder
1 cup frozen kale (optional)
Loaded BBQ sweet potato:
1 sweet potato, softened
1 serving plant based crumbles (I used abbots butcher)
1 cup shredded oyster mushrooms
2-3 tbsp bbq sauce
Season to taste with steak seasoning, salt and black pepper
Additional toppings: sautéed kale, dairy free plain unsweetened yogurt (or dairy free sour cream), green onions, cilantro, zested vegan cheese
Creamy veggie quinoa (this will make 3 servings):
1.5 cup kale
3 cups finely chopped broccoli
1 cup cooked quinoa
2-3 tbsp dairy free cream cheese
1/2 cup dairy-free, unsweetened, plain milk
1/5 cup nutritional yeast

    You brought me millennial joy when you randomly hit the Yung Joc motercycle dance bwahaha! I meal prepped sweet potatoes last week and made a mixture of creole/cajun flavored peppers, onions and sausages stewed in a tomato sauce to go on top. It gave shrimp and grits, but instead sweet potato and sausage with the same flavors, super delish. Enjoyed the vid Shakayla!

    I’ve recently decided to go plant based for health reasons and one of the frustrating thing is not being able to get enough protein! This is extremely important to me because I don’t want to lose muscle mass while taking care of my health! It was frustrating because I was just struggling to find the balance between the two things that are important to be. But after watching your video ,I felt so comforted🥹.     I Shakayla. I've been watching for a couple of years now, but I don't think I've ever commented. I'm on a high protein plant based journey right now and my favorite meal so far has been a spaghetti and meat sauce made with pumfu and Aldi's one ingredient Chickpea pasta. Very high protein in one dish.

    Hi Shakayla! I have problems with my digestion too. I have chronic illnesses so it comes with the territory, I am going to try that tea. Having ginger tea as I type. I like to focus on protein as well. I don’t like to snack and it keeps my blood sugar stable from one meal to the next. On a side note - my pup has a pumpkin blanket that he’s had since he was little. They are so sweet.

    I really love your videos so much! That quinoa broccoli looks really good! I'm on this tofu scramble kick right now. I love meal prepping it with some roasted veggies and rice. Do you ever use tempeh? Its not my favorite, but I'm trying to like it from the high protein it has and variety. I love your meals, it gives me ideas!

    Not sure if you live near a Trader Joe’s but they sell a high protein tofu (soy) with 70g protein per package. I love it and think it tastes much better and is easier to work with than the soy free one

    I have been trying to consume more protein via pea protein, and I agree diff combinations to increase gut health is a game changer, I have roasted potatoes in frigde as we speak so now I'll load them😄

    Hi, I just found baked Sriracha Fava tofu at Sprouts. If you haven't tried it, I will say it is delicious. I have only used it for tofu scramble so far.

    I usually do protein overnight oats for breakfast, tempeh Lett, tomato onion sammie, crispy tofu w/a gochujang sauce, broccoli & basmati brown rice , or I’d use a beyond or Gardein product, when I’m tryna do a quick 1-2 in the kitchen.. I definitely wanna make that cheesy quinoa mix 😋

    I don't use it that often but any time you see me use pea protein crumbles, the TVP cooks the exact same! In my video this Sunday, Im using the pea protein crumbles
