I've gone a whole 15 minutes before, and Oblivion has a better KDR.

Not so, I've always played all 3 factions. I typically try to balance population and fill where needed.

some just maintain their loyalty, some plays like you oblivion, just filling wheres needed. But a few will play on the least pop faction and go to over-zerg hexes, just to counter farm the zergling.
