I just got the metallic version: it does have some diecast parts, but the tires are plastic and no ratchet joints. Worse, though, is that it seems like the metallic paint is just a little thicker than the 'normal' paint; the first time I transformed it from robot to vehicle mode out of the box, both posts that fit the front wheels to his back were stuck and broke off, as well as one of the posts holding the same wheels to the 'exhaust vanes' in the back. Also because of this paint issue, you can't mount the gun on the vehicle mode without either trimming the gun's tabs or etching out the slots in the legs. Lastly, the head looks awesome but there is NO light piping on the metallic version.

Planet x usually cover characters that had no figures or garbage figures

I swear all those after review skits should be compiled into their own video or DVD.

I wanna day this is the best version of optimus prime we have ever gotten. Really impressed with how they managed to make nearly every single part of him perfect, especially the back side of the figure which many companies seem to disregard.

A perfect review as always and that end part was hilarious well done.

Y'know, your reviews are making it sooo hard for me to keep to my vow of keeping away from 3P figs, especially these ones from Planet X. Keep up the awesomeness, and I hope things are getting better for you off-cam! (Disclaimer: I love 3P figs and have nothing aginst the existencw of 3Ps, but it's one of my controls to limit overgrowing my collection and learning to be content)

I prefer war for cybertron prime but their working of this design finally made me like this one as well. Their figured somehow feel “masterpiece” quality to me

Hey EmGo, a neat weapon trick I found out is that the pointed top of the axe handle (where the blades go in) can be popped out and the base of the sword can plug into it for an extended handle to make a lance weapon.

I got the fall of cybertron deluxe size and wished it had been bigger, can't wait to get the Planet X version in the mail.

I personally like the war for cybertron prime but that's just me

No it isn't. It's not just you. The War for Cybertron design was better, especially the vehicle mode. That said, this certainly makes the Fall of Cybertron design far better than the official release did.

I find it really good that his front wheels go to the back during the transformation. I found it totally annoying that the wheels were on his arms in robotmod by hasbro

The deluxe class is a good figure. I got the takara version that has awesome paint. It's also really possable.

I love how Fall of Cybertron's nickname is foc. I always pronounce it as "fock" 😆

the path blaster gun is done beautifully.

That’s the path blaster and it’s a long range shot gun but close range it deals more damage. My personal favorite is the neuron assault rifle

Planet X Pluto has already made an appearance . . . . pretty cool figure if you ask me, and much like the other figures, (Vulcan, Jupiter, Mors, etc.) Pluto looks just like the FoC Megatron

you could use the shoulder pieces' movement to fake a closer elbow bent

I was a little worried when you got to the back, the two pieces that just sort of sit behind the base of the neck, I was thinking "wait, they don't peg in? Isn't that gonna be problematic in the robot mode?" And then the front wheels rotate to plugged into the back at two points. And I'm SO glad they did, that was basically the deal sealer for me, now I want this thing

This is one of the most greatest Optimus prime toys from games i have ever seen

The transformation looks like they put together a couple of other Optimus transformations which don't get me wrong is pretty cool

Fun fact, I'm getting this figure for my birthday!

Planet X does a great job on including all the right weapons and accessories that the characters used in the game!

This just arrived today but idk why everything is so stiff. I can barely peg anything together. The joints are unbelievably stiff, so much that the part where it's supposed to be able to rotate like the shoulder just broke off.
